I am a professional visual journalist, have been for more than 20 years. I began my career as a staff photographer at newspapers in the American West, at a time when papers still had darkrooms and photographers still processed their own film. In 1998, my wife, author Karen Coates, and I moved to Cambodia. There, I shot news, features and investigative stories for Agence France-Presse, The New York Times, The Cambodia Daily and dozens of magazines. We have since combined our talents on numerous projects examining under-reported stories across Asia and beyond, with particular focus on environment, health and social issues. For the past eight years, we have documented the widespread effects of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Laos. Our book, Eternal Harvest: The Legacy of American Bombs in Laos, was published by ThingsAsian Press in 2013. Recently I added HD video work to my high-quality still image repertoire. I am a Senior Fellow at the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University and was a 2012-2013 Scripps Fellow in Environmental Journalism at the Center for Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

I have traveled to 9 countries (Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kosovo, India, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Japan and Antigua) and nearly every US state to pursue stories for my videos and films. In 2009 I founded a 501c3 non-profit called Storytellers International to produce documentary films of untold stories from around the world. I pursue stories of human drama that involve exceptional actions in extraordinary circumstances. I enjoy the travel and adventure of tracking down these stories.

I'm an Oscar-nominated and two-time Emmy-winning filmmaker and photographer based on the East Coast, USA. I'm the DP and producer of Academy-Award nominated film and Netflix Original "Heroin(e)" and the Netflix Original Documentary "Recovery Boys." As a journalist, I've directed and published short films on The NY Times, The Bitter Southerner, Center for Investigative Reporting, and Mashable, among others. As a commercial director and DP, I've shot films for Marriott, Renaissance Hotels, Facebook, and more. For both documentary and commercial work, I fully produce, direct, shoot, and edit my own films. I also get hired as a DP/shooter and director. I'm also an FAA certified drone pilot with more than six years of experience. For documentary work, I often use a Canon C300III, Panasonic S1H, DJI Mavic 2 Pro, gimbals, glidetracks, and have a large selection of high-quality prime and zoom lenses. For commercial work, I use the Red Komodo and (soon) the Red V-Raptor 8k VV camera. Note: I used to spell my name KERRIN, but now it is CURREN.

Lisa Gross is a documentary filmmaker and freelance editor originally from Santa Fe, NM and currently based in Denver, CO. She has worked as an associate story producer, researcher, writer, and editor of shows airing on Destination America, The Cooking Channel, The Travel Channel, PBS, A&E, The Discovery Channel, Discovery Fit & Health, Investigation Discovery, TLC, DIY Network, and MTV, as well as projects for The International Rescue Committee, Lovett Productions, Cabin Creek Films, TED Talks, and The Michael J. Fox Foundation. She has also shot short promotional pieces for private clients and has produced and edited pieces for local PBS. She is currently in production of a feature-length observational documentary about a New York public access TV host whose longstanding show explores the nature of consciousness and other dimensions.

I am a print journalist and aspiring photojournalist based in Boston, with training in radio and video production. I hold Bachelor's degrees in English and Biology from Davidson College and a Master's degree in Science Writing from MIT. I have written stories for New Scientist, Harvard Magazine, MIT Tech Review, EMBLetc, and other online and print publications, and have performed at Storycollider in Boston. I love telling stories about a wide variety of topics, especially anything that involves traveling (I have traveled to every continent except Antarctica, but that's on my list)! My dream assignment would take me to Cuba to get an insider's look at what that country and culture have been like under US sanctions for the last 50 years, so that I can document that way of life before it changes drastically following changing political mandates.
