I'm a French-Italian filmmker, based in Amsterdam and traveling anywhere for work. I've studied social geography in France and Italy before getting fully involved into visual imagery, studying fine arts and film in Amsterdam (NL) and New York (US) I've now been working for more than 20 years as professional DOP and editor, with clients such as National Geographic, CNN, PBS, Euronews, Dutch TV channels and many production companies, such as Off the Fence, who's produced My Octopus teacher, wining the Oscar for the best documentary in 2021. Making film is a real passion for me and I'm fully devoted to any project I'm working on. I shoot with a Sony FX6 and cine prime lenses (Sirui Jupiter and Venus anamorphic series) along the Sony G master enses, such as the Sony 24-105mm f/4, 16-35mm f/4 and the great Sigma 100-400mm DG Art. Next the latest Ronin RS3 gimbal for smooth moving shots, I also have a EU drone license and fly the Mavic 2 Pro. I edit in my own suite in Amsterdam and I'm available to shoot anywhere. Maarten van Rouveroy is a documentary filmmaker. Having graduated in cinematography and marine biology, his main interests are the natural world, the environment, human rights and other global political issues. Issa Shaker is an independent filmmaker with a passion for breathing life into untold stories. Over the course of his career, he has become widely recognized for his ability in generating viral content, 250 million views and counting. As well as his coaching and consulting skills for up-and-coming journalists and online personalities. Some of the organizations Issa has served with his media productions include the BBC, Al Jazeera, AJ+, Russia Today, RNW Media, University of Vienna and University of Wolverhampton. Currently, Issa owns Shaker productions and is working on different documentary and video projects in Dutch, English and Arabic. Jialu is a Chinese media professional based in the Netherlands. At the age of 21 her documentary ‘Alive’ won the Best Documentary Awards in 7th Beijing International Collegiate Video & Film Festival and was screened in 29th VGIK in Russia and 23rd FIPA in France in 2009. From 2010 until 2014, she worked as the production manager for CCTV6 China Movie Channel, in charge of ‘World Film Report’ a weekly program & daily news production, featuring the diversity of the international cinema through on-site shooting and live coverage. Jialu filmed over 70 episodes of TV programs in 40 different countries, including the live report from the Oscar's red carpet, Cannes, Venice and Berlinale film festivals. Since 2014, she worked as a freelancer for multiple media and film companies including Caixin, Phoenix TV, Cinephilia, Media Aisa Film, Merken Bezielen, Weda and Rwanda film festival. She graduated from University of Amsterdam with a MA in political communication.

Zeb Ngobese was born in a small town called Hluhluwe in South Africa and graduated in Durban University of Technology in Theatre and Drama studies. He holds dual citizenship, South Africa and The Netherlands Zeb was introduced to Television in the early 2000 but never considered himself as a Cinematographer until 2008. Storytelling has always been a part of Zeb’s life. In quest to finding the appropriate medium to express himself, Zeb hung out in many film and television sets in South Africa, as a lighting assistant or camera assistant. In 2008 he decided that cinematography is the one, and never looked back. Zeb went on to work on numerous South African commercial television shows such as Survivor South Africa and Master Chef to name but the few. As well as international documentaries stories for National Geographic, United Nation, Public Service International ( PSI ) and MTV Africa. Zeb tries to be authentic and true to the story. He has learned over the years that a great picture is the one that tells a story. Shooting documentaries has made me appreciate handheld shooting style and the effective use of natural but not limited, I can light well when a story calls for it.

Douglas Hook Douglas is an English visual journalist and photo editor based out of Amsterdam, Netherlands. In 2022 he worked as the staff visual journalist at The Hartford Courant, in Hartford, Conn. covering state politics, human interest stories and working daily with reporters to strategize which types of photos would work for the tone and subject of the article. Prior to working for the Hartford Courant, Douglas worked as a staff writer in Massachusetts for a state-wide news organization focused on investigative journalism, state and federal politics, as well as civil and societal issues like gun violence. His feature stories have made him an award-winning writer and photographer at the New England Newspaper and Press Association (NENPA). He has reported on the war in Syria, a popular uprising in Venezuela, social issues in China, the struggles of the coffee industry in Puerto Rico, child sex trafficking in the Dominican Republic and multiple stories in the United States. Some of the stories produced in the U.S. have received recognition, most recently with two first-place awards with the New England Better Newspaper Competition in 2020 for his Social Issue Feature Story and Best Solutions Journalism Project. The Boston Press Photographer Association awarded Douglas an honourable mention in 2020. He was also a finalist in the Religion Newswriters Association Awards for Religion Reporting Excellence for his story on Eid al-Adha the same year. The Association of Photographers Open Award in the United Kingdom exhibited his work on the demise of greyhound racing in the UK in 2010. Douglas graduated in 2013, from the University of Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom, with honours in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism.

In 1988 Gilles Frenken graduated at the National Film Academy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as a cameraman (D.o.P.), documentary film director and film editor. In the past 30 years he made, as a director with his camera on his shoulder or tripod, about 150 tv documentaries and films. Some of these films were broadcasted in more than 50 countries. As a cameraman Gilles Frenken worked for various film directors, and made more than 100 documentary films in more than 100 different countries. Some of these films won first prizes on various film festivals. As a director and D.o.P., he also made a movie, 'Little Treasures of Lombok'. This film about streetchildren in Indonesia, filmed without a budget, has been seen by more than 4.7 million people on YouTube. In the last 5 years he made more than 15 documentary films about art and artists. Gilles Frenken is both based in Amsterdam and Oosterbeek (near Arnhem).

Moniek Wester Keegstra is an independent filmmaker at Monkee Films She has been working as director, self-directing camerawoman and editor since 1995. Moniek directed for Dutch Television and her film ‘Gaza, Gabbers, Graffity’ was nominated for “Prix d’Europe” (Berlin, 1997), Danube Festival (Bratislava,1998), Cinekid (Amsterdam,1998) and Basic Trust (Tel Aviv, 2000). In 2002 she became part of the ‘26000 Faces’ TV/Online film project http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/26.000_gezichten about asylum seekers in the Netherlands. Renowned filmmakers directed 99 short film portraits about asylum seekers who had been living for longer than 7 years in the Netherlands and still did not know if they could stay. Moniek directed the short film Sarah (2004) which was screened at the IDFA festival. The ‘26000 Faces’ project influenced Dutch politics deeply. Since then internet and documentary have become her passion. Moniek is interested in how the internet can reclaim a filmmaker’s freedom to tell the stories that they consider important. In 2006 she started the new-media ‘Lifeboat: HIV – Daring to Share’ Project, won the Digital Academy Prize for Innovating New Media projects in 2009 (http://www.lifeboatfilms.org) Besides her independent film work, Moniek Wester Keegstra works in commission for NGO’s such as Medicines Sans Frontiers, Oxfam Novib as self directing camerawoman, editor and producer. She made films about war trauma in Bosnia and Sierra Leone, about female condoms in Malawi and about AIDS and TB in Zambia.
