I have experience producing documentary films, writing feature articles, and packaging radio & TV pieces. I'm an American based in Bogotá, Colombia, with experience working in English, Spanish and French. In 2015, following dreams of being a full-time storyteller, I moved to India to co-direct a documentary about an orphanage outside the city of Hyderabad. Most recently, I served as the managing editor at Innovations | Stories, an online publication sharing the stories of social innovators all over the Global South. While at Innovations | Stories I designed and spearheaded a multimedia editorial strategy which allowed for more diverse content (a heavier focus on photo and video stories). As managing editor I supported video and photo freelance contributors from all over the world and designed storytelling trainings for social innovators to tell their own stories. I'm originally from Berkeley, California, USA and I earned my B.S. from the University of California, Davis in Community and Regional Development with a minor in Art Studio (focusing on video and photography). From 2010-2015 I directed a global education program called One World Youth Project (OWYP), based in Washington, DC. At OWYP I designed middle school (age 10-14) curriculum and trained university students to teach it around the world in their own communities. The program taught the children cross-cultural communication by empowering them to create and send video, photo, and written messages to their partner classroom abroad - all facilitated by trained university student volunteers. While serving as program director at OWYP I had the privilege of traveling around the world visiting schools and delivering trainings at universities. My work in education and the opportunity to see so much of the world made me realize I wanted to tell stories. Storytelling is the best form of education anyway.

Susy is a Venezuelan sociologist and filmmaker. From the age of 24 she worked as a Producer and Director for a youth cultural public TV channel. Susy was also part of the team that created the first feminist daily show on Venezuelan TV, where she worked as the General Producer and Studio Director.After working for three years in the Venezuelan TV channel she moved to UK to study a Master Degree in Documentary. Susy had her first observational short documentary The Breadmaker, commissioned and premiered by The Guardian Documentary. She has been working as a producer - director for Redfish Media Documentaries Outlet, she also works as freelance editor and camera person. Susy believes there is a lack of representation of women in mainstream media, and her aim is to work with women as her central characters.

I'm a freelance cinematographer based in Mérida, Venezuela, who has covered from protests, politics, environmental issues and extreme sports stories. I recently was the main videographer for an Associated Press documentary called Vanishing Venezuela, that details the work of scientists trying to study the country's last glacier. For that video, I filmed ground images in Mérida during massive blackouts, interviews and also their first climbing expedition to the Humboldt glacier at over 14,000 feet. I've also filmed in the Himalayas and recently in Venezuela's largest peak, Pico Bolívar. I'm passionate about filming, climbing, nature and photography, and very versatile when it comes to filming and editing. I have my own equipment, which includes a MavicPro 2 drone and Sony A7 iii camera, with a varied set of lenses.
