Hello, I am Iñigo Cavestany a passionate audiovisual professional hailing from Madrid, Spain. I have over 10 years of experience within the world of media across Europe, the United States and Latin America. Throughout this time, I have provided expertise as a reporter and journalist, camera operator and producer, as well as a photographer and videographer. I have completed many projects around the world for television channels, magazines, agencies, non-profit organizations and websites. During my years in the field, I have always loved working with images and stories. I am a freelance journalist/photographer/filmmaker interested in under-reported regions and untold stories. I mainly focus on political, social and cultural issues. A lot of the stories are related to human rights and conflict, but not all of them. Having worked in hostile environments such as Syria and Iraq, I am well aware of the difficulties and challenges. Features and documentaries are my preferred genres.I hold an international Masters in Journalism with a specialism in War and Conflict Reporting. The MA was a joint program offered by Aarhus University, the University of Amsterdam and Swansea University. I am moving around quite a bit. My colleague, Gayatri Parameswaran and I are journalists and co-founders at NowHere Media – a young, Berlin-based production house. In the past five years we have produced many stories for Al Jazeera English, DW, ZDF etc. At NowHere Media we have begun working with VR and 360 journalism. Aela Callan is an award-winning journalist, filmmaker and broadcaster based in Berlin. Passionate about connecting filmmakers with their audience, she created a digital strategy for Al Jazeera's 101 East program where she has produced and presented more than 12 documentary films. After living in Myanmar, she was selected as a Knight Fellow for Journalism innovation at Stanford University where she researched ways to combat hate speech. Her mission as a media innovator and leader is rooted in the belief that great storytelling brings us closer to those in forgotten corners of the globe.

About Kaleb W.

Kaleb Wentzel-Fisher is a Berlin-based filmmaker from the U.S. He finished his first feature film, Sankofa, which was produced by Molly Aida Film and was premiered at the Zagreb Fantastic Film Festival in Croatia in 2014. Kaleb has made films and music since his early teens. He studied audio engineering and production at the McNally Smith School of Music while teaching himself video production. He has spent the last decade working on motion pictures for the film industry, teaching seminars and workshops, and creating his own films and music. After developing curricula and teaching film and audio production at the Media Arts Collaborative Charter School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he moved to Berlin to write and direct independent feature films. He is currently developing his newest project, a documentary film entitled Concrete Empire (www.concrete-empire.com), in collaboration with Molly Aida Film. Kaleb's work has been featured on MTV, Canal+, IFC, Vimeo Staff Picks and more.

About Alexander S.

Alexander Sussmann is an award winning documentary filmmaker from Berlin, Germany. Growing up in the tranquil countryside of West-Germany, Alexander developed the urge to discover the world at an early age. With footsteps in more than 40 countries, he expanded his passion for diverse mindsets, and different social and cultural backgrounds. It was a natural step for him to evolve from the adventurer to a storyteller following the path as a documentary filmmaker. As a filmmaker, Alexander employs his creative freedom in exploring the diversity of human life. He has a humorous understanding in the details of daily life interactions. The duality between the beauty of life and the absurdity of societies are constantly revealed in his films. Furthermore, Alexander believes that cinema is an experience to provoke controversial dialogue with its viewer. In 2011, Alexander completed his bachelors degree in Audio Visual Media at Stuttgart Media University. During his studies, he gained his first professional work experience in arthouse fiction and non-fiction production houses. From 2012 to 2015 he worked in Berlin as a director for the global media company Vice. While working there, he directed and produced several reportages up to 20min length. He co-founded the production company and media agency Tribes. He worked as a commercial director for clients all across the globe providing brand documentaries and social media spots. After several years in the professional field, it was time for Alexander to move on. The desire to develop an independent and distinctive style as an artist brought him back to university. In 2020 he completed the Docnomads Joint Master Degree program in Documentary Film Directing in three countries: Portugal, Hungary, Belgium. He enjoys the challenge of living and working in foreign environment, which opens new perspectives and experiences. He is eager to broaden his new adventures to create a unique voice in the field of creative documentary.

I started my career in Beirut my home town where I was born and grew up. Worked in a local Tv in Lebanon as a production coordinator for 3 years. When the Syrian crisis started I was moving between Lebanon, Syria, and Istanbul covering the war as a freelancer and working on my first documentary. At the beginning of 2014, I came back to Beirut worked for 1 year covering the refugees' crisis and started with Ahmad Moftah (my work partner) our own production house Moftah Productions, we did numerous productions from all over the world. Now I'm working as a freelance video journalist traveling between Lebanon and Germany and other European countries.

Clara spent the past eight years working as a director, solo filmmaker, camera operator and camera assistant in Berlin, Hanoi and Barcelona. Among her most prominent works are [B]ELLAS, winner of the Young Filmmakers Prize by La Bonne Maison and Barcelona City Hall, directed along Laia Suru Valverde, and G3G Rècords: Poder mirar als ulls, selected at the In-Edit International Film Festival.
