Now in international distribution, her Juno nominated music biography Buffy Sainte-Marie: A Multimedia Life showcases the multi-faceted career of this Native American icon and her contribution as artist, native rights activist and educator. She’s produced the new multi-platform initiative, Green Heroes, with TVO. The project encompasses a series of television programs and short Internet video profiles about everyday and celebrity people who have championed an environmental cause. In addition to her interactive, biography and documentary programs, Joan has produced over 50 videos for the non-profit sector and for federal and provincial governments. These projects cover a range of topics including: cultural issues, environmental initiatives, community health, social programs, international development, and labour initiatives. Several of these programs have been produced in French and English. Joan is an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre, the National Screen Institute, the Banff New Media Centre, OCADU's Imagination Catalyst, and Ryerson's Radio & Television Arts program. She began her career as a researcher and field producer on TVO’s flagship literary series Imprint, hosted by Daniel Richler.

Jean Baptiste Nyabyenda is a montreal based video journalist and filmmaker.. His skills in cinema include script writing , camera operator,editing,directing and producing . he has worked with Rwanda local online TV Station as well as international TV named ZoominTV,AJ+,Canal+,Plive and The Points Guy. His passion in film and cinema started since 2012. He has produced short videos uploaded on YouTube. He has worked with online internet Igihe TV since December 2013 to 2016 as Sports video producer. He pursued film scriptwriting and directing training with Rwanda Christian film festival in 2013 and Maisha Film Lab from Uganda in July 2014 as well as producing film training with Kwetu film institute in partnership German Cooperation in May 2014. He was the sound operator in short documentary Shine like Shadia 2014. In 2013; he has written a couple of short film scripts such as Saved by passion and this year, he has written a short film The Nyamweru/Albino as well as a short documentary Move on. In 2015, He produced the short fiction film Girl next door screened in Mashariki African Film Festival February 2016 as well as Luxor Film Festival 2017. In February 2016,he shot,Directed and produced Zura taekwondo fighter which was screned in USA Gender reel Festival i 2016 as well as in Cambridge Africa Film festival same year and in April 2017 it will be screened in Canada at Emerging Lens Cultural Film Festival along side a short documentary Inanga Like Father Like Daughter and in March 2016 he Directed From Far

I've been working in TV, Media & Tech for 10 years, predominantly focused on video production & post production operations. In that time I've grown from being a Production Assistant to a Supervisor, overseeing Production Managers & Post Production Managers at Shopify. In addition to having different roles, I've also worked on a variety of media formats, from TV series to film productions to online social content. At Shopify, I've been able to build the foundation for Producers to scale out their productions so we could publish content at a faster rate. In the past three years alone myself and team have been a part of 300+ original videos & associating social assets. This content ranges from TV/Film Series’, short/medium length documentaries, online advertisements, YouTube series’, social & educational content. Some of the highlights in my career are, building a video production operation at a tech company that had no experience producing content (resourcing, tooling, budgeting, managing, etc). Constructing a media server to house all our footage & creating a media asset management system to easily tag, search & find all these assets to reuse & repurpose. In short, I've had many different experiences in my career, which has allowed me to build a wide range of skills, on a variety of video formats. I feel I am able to wear multiple hats, and contribute to productions in many different ways.
