I communicate to unsettle people's apathy. As a brazilian journalist, I am watching democracy being threatened and that's what drives me to bring human rights to the center of my attenttion. In uncertain times, I believe journalists can not be oblivious. I write about Culture and Society. During the pandemic, I went from drug-ridden neighborhoods in São Paulo, to the CBD beauty market, to African diaspora resistance groups, to James Merry thoughts about the role of masks.
