He is a proficient outdoorsman and has skied first descents in Svalbard, scuba dived fjords in Iceland, mountain biked Western China, and climbed 35 of Colorado's 14,000' peaks. Equal parts journalist and technician, Alex is as comfortable conducting interviews as he is lighting them. He owns and operates Sony and Canon cinema cameras, and is a licensed commercial drone operator. Murrow awards, several Heartland Emmy awards, National Press Photographers Association quarterly clips contest 2017 multimedia photographer of the year and a member of the Denver Post team named finalists for a 2015 Pulitzer Prize.

After graduating with a degree in digital video production I started working as a cam op in outdoor adventure shorts in Montana. After several years of working in Montana I moved to Denver in search of a larger market and growth. I specialize in outdoor cinematography but am also very capable with lighting commercial, documentary, and cooperate shoots. I also am experienced at editing and working as a general grip or gaffer on set.
