About Mike Y.

Charlie is an American cinematographer, director and the founder of Charles Allen Productions. He was born in the USA, grew up in Cameroon, and has lived in Guangzhou since 2011. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication and Film and Media Arts. He has produced video content in the USA, in Europe, in Africa, and in Asia. Charlie is fluent in Mandarin, and one of his key strengths as a creative is working with our western clients to see their needs met in China. Mike is a gifted director, cinematographer and producer. He was born and raised in Guangzhou, but his mad skills in video content creation have led him to shoot all over the world. He has worked in China, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Russia, and even in Antarctica. He graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2007, and has been working in film and television production ever since. He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

About Lance M.

I create handcrafted documentary films full of heart and empathy. Films that inspire and resonate long after viewing. Stories of heroes and victims, science and progress, climate and environment. With more than 20 years as a photojournalist and filmmaker, my passion for storytelling has taken me from the burning ghats of Varanasi, India, to a smuggler's tunnel in Nogales, Mexico. Capturing the complexities of the human spirit and creating images that move others to act is the greatest gift of my profession. During my newspaper career, I was twice named Scripps Howard photographer of the year and earned dozens of national and international awards. I work for newspapers, including The Washington Post and NY Times, magazines and media outlets, as well as commercial and nonprofit clients. I also teach video storytelling and serve as a board member of the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar. I have made two very successful feature length documentaries – one about a homeless man running from his demons and finding grace in unlikely places, and another about finding solutions to racial inequality following the death of George Floyd. My short films have earned three Emmys and a national Addy. I live in Boulder, Colorado and welcome any assignments or inquiries, near or far.

Hi, my name is Aaliah. I'm an Emmy Award Winning producer and the founder of Exalted Productions (exaltedproductions.org), a business I have restarted in 2022 that focuses on video storytelling and creative producing. I currently work part time with Rocky Mountain Public Media. I have a degree in Film Production Studies and have taken journalism courses as well. I was born in Cape Town, SA, raised in Miami, Fl., and have lived in Colorado since 2000. I have numerous production roles and film credits through Exalted Productions, Rocky Mountain Public Media, freelancing, and school. I've assumed roles as a writer, producer, videographer, director, editor, and photographer. I would love to create documentary style videos and films (both short and long form) that have thought provoking, entertaining, and engaging stories. Narrative films are of interest too! On a personal note I love food, music, film, and travelling!

I am a Denver-based independent producer, people-connector and adventurer. My work has always followed my passion for global issues and social justice. I was the project producer for Cruzada, a film by the Literacy Project about the Nicaraguan National Literacy Campaign. I was also producer and second camera for Still River Silent Jungle, an adventure-sport meets environmental-activism story about one indigenous woman's fight against mega-hydroelectric power in the Bolivian Amazon. Over the years, I have worked on literacy and community projects in Latin American and Latinx communities in the United States, and as a caseworker for refugee families in Denver. I speak fluent Spanish.
