I was the project producer for Cruzada, a film by the Literacy Project about the Nicaraguan National Literacy Campaign. I was also producer and second camera for Still River Silent Jungle, an adventure-sport meets environmental-activism story about one indigenous woman's fight against mega-hydroelectric power in the Bolivian Amazon. Over the years, I have worked on literacy and community projects in Latin American and Latinx communities in the United States, and as a caseworker for refugee families in Denver.
