David Friedman recalls the life he shared with his late wife Elise who was a hospice patient under Hosparus Healthcare. With Hosparus, he was able to remain the loving spouse as opposed to the primary healthcare provider, a freedom and luxury they both cherished throughout their last years together. Dixie Briscoe shares her experience as a pallitus patient through Hosparus Health and the caring relationship she maintains with her nurse practitioner Tricia Cobler in this documentary style testimonial video. I filmed this for Hearst TV Digital Studio as a second camera unit and audio recordist. Blayre Pinchon of Hearst produced, filmed a first camera unit and directed the piece. A lavender farm in West Virginia is restoring land destroyed by coal mining and providing jobs in a state struggling as the fossil fuel energy is on its way out. There are over 6 million acres of abandoned coal mines across the US, and more could go to waste if coal companies don’t restore their land. Learn more about Appalachian Botanical Company at: https://appalachianbotanical.com/ This is a video that I made for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad highlighting their Polar Express train in 2015. Kent State University's School of Journalism & Mass Communication asked me to create a video displaying the capabilities and equipment that was being used in the TV2 control room. This video was then used as marketing for the school and as an example while representatives from Kent State traveled to NAB 2016 and met with different television equipment companies. While at Kent State I was asked to follow and document a group of Kent State photojournalists and record their journey to the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. I then made a short film about how the trip changed the way they view their job and the emotions that they felt during the trip.
