PAEM is an initiative of the Government of Senegal through the Ministry of Justice represented by the Directorate of Education and Social Protection (DESPS). Its implementation is in line with the government's desire to promote a political and social environment that protects children against all forms of exploitation and abuse of the political vision defined in the National Strategy for Child Protection (SNPE). The project is funded by Italian cooperation to the tune of 500,000 euros and benefits from the technical support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). As such, it aims to contribute to the abandonment of the practice of begging and child abuse, two scourges that affect the well-being of hundreds of thousands of young children and adolescents in Senegal. Child begging is an alarming issue in Senegal. Hundreds of thousands of street children are victims of human trafficking and abuse. The Senegalese Government is conscious of this situation, regardless of its judicial arsenals that promote children's rights and prevent abuse. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the authority launched the project "Zero enfants dans la rue." The project zero enfants dans la rue aims to put an end to child begging and abuse. This documentary film takes an in-depth analysis of the recurrent past events in this newly elected government of President Macky Sall. Since his accession to the office of the presidency, citizens don't have faith in their justice system, systemic corruption, economic scandals in the highest form, and the reverse of the democratic achievements. President Macky Sall gets upset when people questioned him about his intention to run for a third term since he was the one who said that his term of office would end in 2024. President Macky Sall strickly warms his party member and allies to talk about his intention or ambition to run for office for the third term, but whoever disobeys his order is automatically fired from his post! Does the history of 2012 will repeat in 2024? And where the Senegalese democracy is going? As a four-year conflict between Ukraine’s government and Russian-backed separatists continues, Ukraine has emerged as one of the biggest sources of contention between Russia and the U.S. A few weeks ago, the Trump administration provided the former Soviet nation with anti-tank missiles as assistance in the war. NewsHour Weekend Special Correspondent Christopher Livesay reports from Ukraine. A conflict between Ukraine and Russia since 2014 has killed more than 10,000 people, displaced 2 million and put businesses on the border, like the Metinvest plant in Eastern Ukraine, in the crossfire. Metinvest is the largest plant in Europe turning coal into a fuel to produce steel and it is constantly under attack. NewsHour Weekend Special Correspondent Christopher Livesay reports. Senegal's groundbreaking Covid test stick may revolutionize testing in Africa and around the world. CNN Marketplace Africa Archel Bernard is the owner of the Bombchel Factory in Monrovia, Liberia. She's trying to give traditional Liberian and West African fashion a makeover. She also hires women hard-hit by domestic violence and Ebola. But this is no charity – the clothes are cool too. #LITRStarts is a video depicting the start of a business plan competition called the Liberia IT Revolution (LITR). In a bizarre morning in a crowded market in Barkedu, women pack their goods on stalls bringing back the pre Ebola euphoria that was characterized in business making after the market had been shut down for months due to the Ebola outbreak. Most of the women have either lost their source of income to the Ebola outbreak. PLAN Liberia help the women restart their lives that were shattered by Ebola Shot by more than 40 filmmaking teams around the world, the film immerses the viewer in the daily use of faith and spiritual practice. At a time when religious hatreds dominate the world’s headlines, this film explores faith as primary human experience, and how people turn to ritual and prayer to navigate the milestones and crises of private life. About Sie A.
Well I am Adams Sie, a Senegalese Documentary Filmmaker. Stories, I can't tell which one I like best... As I am concerned, and in relation to stories... all stories are important as long as they have the human story in them. Story that reflect actual facts of people, animals, places etc. A story that draws me closer to feel the emotion deeply within and outside my human body due to the authenticity and originality of the story told. Those are the kind of stories I loved.
