A film on five women who help drive the development of their communities, countries and region. With photography by Sylvain Cherkaoui for the Open Society Initiative for West Africa’s “Everybody’s Business: Women’s Rights in West Africa” campaign. Drug policies in West Africa condemn both traffickers and drug users. However, for the latter, these policies constitute a real challenge and obstacle for those who seek and need access to social and health care services. I worked with a production company on a profile of a female Senegalese wrestling champion commissioned by United World Wrestling. I interviewed and wrote the script in french and english, organised film production in the field in southern Senegal (Casamance). Not only does the group teach them hip hop dance, it also helps them dream beyond their limitations. 4-min video to test out my new Sony a7S III and 20 mm Sony lens set at 1.8. I edited about a dozen videos at the 2020 Winter Fancy Food Show. I put descriptions, tagged them, and uploaded them on YouTube. I collaborated with the sound and video crew to create content as fast as possible.
