I am a video producer and editor from Estonia. I graduated from journalism studies in University of Tartu in 2013. In 2011 I consolidated my passion for documentary film in an international programme of Danish School of Media and Journalism ‘TV Journalism: Foreign reporting’ and in the start of 2013 I lived for a while in Russia, Voronezh to practice Russian language and attended in Russian culture course in Voronezh State University. I now work as a journalist and editor for different TV and online multimedia projects.

Jekaterina Saveljeva was born in Narva, Estonia, grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and was based in Ireland for over 10 years. Jekaterina began her career in Ireland working with local newspapers. In 2012 she was doing freelance work for the New York Times. In the same year, she was awarded the Simon Cumbers Media Fund to work on a story in Tanzania. Jekaterina’s work has also been published in the Irish Times, Fairplanet, Metro Eireann, Folk er Folk (Norway), Vision Magazine (China), Photojournale, and has been used by AP and Reuters. She has worked as a photo editor at the Reuters Pictures, as well as studio photographer and editor at Studio Tomas Saraceno. Finalist of PhotoPhilanthroy Photography awards in the Student Category 2014. Her photographs have been exhibited in Estonia, Ireland and Poland. In 2014 Jekaterina graduated from Dublin City University in Media Production Management (B.A., Hons), and has a diploma in print journalism. She speaks Russian, English and basic French and Spanish.

I started my film career at Southampton Solent University while learning Film studies in 2010, and graduated with Ba (Hons) and Ma (Hons). By 2020, I have directed numerous documentary films, fiction films, corporate videos, commercials, and music videos, and managed to make a name for myself in the editing and filmmaking world. In 2012, I cofounded Vita Pictura, Estonia- and UK-based film production company, which boasts such clients from all over the world as Nike Estonia, Weekend Festival, NH7 Bacardi Weekender, Samsung Baltic, Nordic Business Forum, Red Bull, and too many other projects to mention here. My style can be easily detected – I am a versatile editor, not afraid to combine different styles in my editing works. Sergei Trofimov is Tallinn (Estonia) based media professional focused on TV-series and documentary acquisition, production and distribution. Sergei graduated from Baltic Film and Media School with a bachelor of Crossmedia production. In the period from 2015 till 2017 Sergei worked for Estonian Public Broadcasting as acquisition executive. From 2017 Sergei works for Current Time TV (Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty) as an acquisition & commissioning manager. From 2020 also Sergei coordinates the East Doc Series training program as a part of the Institute of Documentary Films courses.
