I am a Canadian journalist and documentary filmmaker, who has been working internationally since 2005. During this time, I have directed, produced, shot, and/or edited more than thirty film projects - traveling with all my own equipment and learning to find creative solutions in sometimes challenging situations. Along with a combined honours degree in Journalism and International Development Studies from the University of King's College (Canada), I also studied Documentary Filmmaking at Prague Film School, and completed an MA in Global Media and Transnational Communications at Goldsmith's, University of London. I have spent much of my career working on projects across Western Africa and Eastern Europe, and am currently based out of Monrovia, Liberia. Favourite stories to hunt: anything involving youth, post-conflict regions, media, creativity, and/or development.

About WeOwnTV C.

We opened the doors to the WeOwnTV Freetown Media Center in 2010. The center is located in Freetown, Sierra Leone, offers educational programs, provides access to equipment and supports a collective of talented young filmmakers. By 2014 this filmmaking collective had become one of the most respected production entities in the country.
