With a deeply rooted passion for transparency, justice, and freedom of information, Shikema Dey is a young, vibrant journalist who has been steadfast in her journey as a media professional. Dey entered the profession in 2014. In 2016, she joined Kaieteur News, the leading print media entity in Guyana where she played a crucial role in covering the controversial 2020 National and Regional Elections. She was on the frontline as the No-Confidence Motion, court cases, campaign season, elections, and recount all unfolded, and provided detailed, and often live, coverage of these events. In 2021, she became part of the News Room’s dynamic team, bringing with her tenacity and commitment to truth and her role in the fourth estate. The 24-year-old has a keen interest in oil and gas, energy, public infrastructure, agriculture, social issues, features, and the environment. She has an Associate’s Degree in Arts from the University of Guyana—where during her studies, she represented the institution and country at the 2019 World Undergraduate Conference in Germany following her documentary on Guyana’s position as the then Suicide Capital. Her skills in media go beyond the pen, as she possesses a talent and keen interest in photography. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that corruption is kept at bay through the influence of the press.

Rustom Seegopaul is a professional content producer with almost two decades of experience in communications, production, content design for behavioral change, as well as media logistics coordination and distribution. His key areas of expertise include the development, implementation, monitoring and measuring of communications strategies and strategic communications initiatives, advertising and branding, targeted advocacy design, media production (both in traditional and new media), social media monitoring, asset creation, content distribution, training, visual storytelling and as a media liaison. Rustom has considerable experience working with the development and monitoring of communication and behavioral change strategies and initiatives in Guyana, Malaysia, China and Cambodia, and has had the opportunity to work with a number of organizations in the international news fraternity, the public and private sectors and extensively within the international donor community - the United Nations Children's Fund, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, the International Office of Migration, the Canadian International Development Agency through the Canadian Institute of Planners, the World Wildlife Fund, and Conservation International. He has a Master’s Degree in International Multimedia Journalism from the University of Bolton (UK) and a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication from Curtin University of Technology (Australia). His work has been published and displayed in China, Canada, Cambodia, the United States and in his home country Guyana, where he is the two time winner of the Loyola Documentary Film Festival. Rustom is currently based in Moldova and is exploring cultural change and human movement with regard to the ongoing conflicts in continental Europe.

Kojo McPherson is a Guyanese writer, spoken word artist, photographer and filmmaker. Kojo served on the scriptwriting team of popular Guyanese radio serial drama, Merundoi, for 4 ½ years. He has made three short films, 'Beached’, 'To the Night', and ‘Standing’. He is the winner of the CineCaribe screenplay competition and the RBC Focus - Filmmaker's Immersion best project & pitch competition. Kojo is the proud father of two girls, Kinaya and Mapenzi, with his partner Guyana Prize winning playwright Mosa Telford.
