Alexander G.
Atlanta, GA, USA
$1000 - $1500
17 reviewsAlexander has directed, shot, produced, and edited a wide variety of film projects ranging from commercial, music, and art videos that have reached millions online, to documentaries that have been featured in film festivals internationally and broadcast nationally. He has shot commercials for major brands such as Google, USAA, Jagermeister, and Georgia Power. He has also shot projects for HBO, CNN, VH1, Discovery, Fusion, NYtimes.com, Great Big Story, and CNBC, as well as created a number of fundraising videos that have raised tens of thousands of dollars for New Orleans youth programs. While it is rare to claim propensity in both the director and DP roles, having directed (and edited) two award-winning, feature-length films, Alex has become fluent in every phase of production, developed a strong understanding of perspective, story structure and emotional rhythm, as well as learned how to effectively delegate and lead a team. But the merging of his background in visual art with an infatuation with cinematography has him most often finding himself on set as the director of photography. While having a love for directing, he feels most at home with a camera in his hands, composing frames, painting with light and color, and crafting a visual language to serve a story and a directors’ vision.

Carlos C.

$450 - $1500
15 reviewsI was born in Bogotá, Colombia. For over 15 years, I have worked as a photo-journalist, covering stories and documenting the life of minority ethnic groups in Asia, Central America and South America. I have worked as director and cinematographer in numerous short films and commercials. I'm a passionate storyteller, educator, consultant and speaker about video production for social media and visual storytelling. I'm also an instructor at the Connecticut Broadcasting School in Doral, Florida. With my films, I believe firmly that when it comes to telling the untold stories of people doing something to make a difference, there is no story too small to tell, no story too big to touch one heart and change the world for good.

Joel A.

$800 - $1400
36 reviewsI work as a freelance cinematographer and I’m usually up and down the east coast pointing my camera at people and places. I love the strategy and fine tuned detail of larger productions but the thrill of a single camera, “run and gun” shoot is sometimes unmatched. I pride myself on gorgeous and modern visuals and I just make things work. Contact me for anything, regardless of scale.

Michael R.
Atlanta, GA, USA
$1000 - $2200
2 reviewsFor over 30 years with Turner Broadcasting: from his early days as a Video Journalist for CNN to Director of Photography with Turner Studio’s elite Film and Video Unit, Mike was awarded the opportunity to travel the world creating stunning imagery. He was hired directly out of college and worked his way up and around the Turner organization, broadening his experience as he went, including: field sound recording, long format post-production editing, videography, and field producing. Eventually he found his comfort zone and his greatest challenges within the Turner Studio’s Film and Video Unit shooting high-end entertainment productions Michael brings the same intensity and passion to exotic locations and to the seemingly mundane. He’s shot “everyman”, businessmen, icons and news makers. He’s shot in war zones and end zones, from some of the highest peaks to stunning underwater depths. Since leaving Turner, and then starting his own business Deep Blue Imagery, in 2012, Mike has brought his eye for capturing truthful images and his warmhearted exuberance to all his projects and clients. As a Rescue and ReBreather Certified SCUBA diver for over 30 years, Mike looks for every opportunity to shoot above and below the ocean surface. Michael is a multi Emmy Award winning DP and has worked in over 50 different countries.

Tamara B.
Atlanta, GA, USA
$300 - $1000
3 reviewsFor Emmy Award winning journalist, Tamara Banks, the statement, “One Person Can Make a Difference,” is more than just words. Her life experiences, connectibility and sense of humor have made her a sought-after keynote speaker and emcee. Tamara is a freelance journalist, talk show host and documentary filmmaker, focusing on social justice and dedicated to creating transformative social change through excellence in journalism. Her areas of expertise include: social justice and political issues, nationally and internationally, particularly in Sudan, South Sudan and Darfur, and other parts of the globe where there is little or no news coverage about crimes against humanity and genocide. Her documentary short film, “The Long Journey Home,” was accepted into the 2009 Hollywood Film Festival, “HollyShorts.” Her work has been featured on numerous news networks including CNN, ABC News, HDNet's World Report, BBC, Al Jazeera, Al Jazeera America, WB 2 News, FOX News, as well on as a number of radio stations and newspapers over the past 20 years. As a correspondent she has extensive experience in covering a variety of historical issues and stories like the Columbine massacre and the Aurora Movie Theater shootings to the massive floods in Colorado the summer of 2013. She’s also experienced in covering major hot button topics like the gun rights debate and marriage equality. Tamara has also traveled to Uganda to interview child soldiers as well as to Rwanda where she reported on that country’s post genocide challenges and successes. She covered the devastating earthquake in Haiti and embedded with U.S. Army and Iraqi Security forces to report on yet another untold story: U.S. and Coalition Forces training, mentoring and empowering Iraqis before the U.S. pulled out of the war-torn country. Her challenging relationship with her father who was gone most of her childhood helped her develop her independent, tenacious character which lead to her becoming a journalist focused on social justice. Tamara learned that with commitment, hard work and integrity one person can make a difference. She also learned the hard way to not let “perfection be the enemy of the good.” Tamara is an accomplished equestrian, riding since she was four years old. She plays polo, the sport of kings (and queens.) Her nickname is “Taz” – not as in Tasmanian devil, rather Tasmanian angel! She looks forward to sharing her insights and talents with you and your organization. Website ~ Tamarambanks.com Twitter ~ iamtamarabanks Facebook ~ Tamara Banks Email ~ x

Rebecca W.
Atlanta, GA, USA
$100 - $500
1 reviewCurrently, I’m a freelance photo editor at CNN Digital, although “freelance” is a bit of a misnomer since I work nearly full-time. Since June 2019, I work with a team of photo editors to license the best photography on the wires for nearly all stories on CNN.com. By choosing engaging photographs for our homepage and story card images, we help stories be seen by millions. We also create news-driven photo galleries for ongoing and breaking news events, as well as source imagery for other CNN franchises, such as CNN Travel, Business, Style and more. Getty Images is one of our main sources for finding relative, newsworthy images to pair with our stories. Through this job, I’ve become familiar with many Getty Images staff photographers’ work and the Getty Images interface that clients use to download photos. I am also a regular freelance photographer at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Athens Banner-Herald in Athens, Georgia. I’ve covered a variety of assignments, including high school and college sports, political events and rallies, K-12 schools and intimate profiles on individuals and their communities. Most recently I’ve covered important stories related to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 presidential election and Georgia senate races, and protests following the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks and Breonna Taylor.

1 reviewSavannah, GA native. Relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2005 where I studied at Atlanta College of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design where I received a BFA in 2009. I worked as a scenic designer and fabricator in the Major Motion Picture Industry in Atlanta on many productions including Hunger Games 1 and 2, Fast and Furious 6 and 7, as well as special effects on The Walking Dead. While working on large big budget productions, I learned about all facets of professional production (grip, lighting, set dec, wardrobe, camera, etc) and I now utilize these high level techniques and practices in my own work today. I would consider myself a multimedia artist with a large vocabulary in creating visually. I currently run a creative agency called On The Grid Creative where I build teams to tackle tangible and digital creative projects.
