I'm a Winston-Salem, NC based filmmaker. I grew up making movies with my twin brother and friends so telling stories and being behind a camera has always been important to me. I think I've always appreciated the collaboration that happens with visual storytelling and how it allows us to communicate things that are otherwise difficult to communicate. I started a video production company with my brother in 2012 and I produced primarily video content for real estate agents, brides and grooms, and businesses needing testimonials, safety videos, etc. I've realized I'm much more interested in finding stories to tell about individual people and that's what led me to StoryHunter.

I've shot for companies such as FOX, CBS, Gatorade and ESPN, among many others. In addition to extensive documentary film cinematography I am a very competent documentary and portrait photographer. I am a seasoned multimedia storyteller specializing in video production, editing and motion graphics. I'm currently a Producer at AJ+, where I produce, film and edit stories for In Real Life, a YouTube show about food and social justice. I was most recently a Snapchat Video Producer for WIRED, where I filmed original social video and used Adobe Creative Suite to combine video, motion graphics and animation into several series of ten-second "snaps." Previously, I was WIRED's Video Fellow, and I was responsible for every step of the production process — ideating, scripting, scheduling, shooting, editing, and packaging finished videos about science and technology. I've completed commercial work for large organizations like Fulbright and Global Vision International, as well as produced several documentary shorts independently. After serving five years as a Mass Communication Specialist (I spent most of my time as a Photojournalist), I was honorably discharged and moved to Charlotte, N.C. to attend the Art Institute of Charlotte. Here is where I realized a real passion for Cinematography and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. Since then, I’ve been living in the jungle as a Freelancer and loving it. I love the challenge of creating a visual aesthetic that accentuates a narrative and have shot an array of projects including commercials, music videos, documentaries, reality t.v. and short films.
