Hello! I am an independent producer, editor, and video journalist living in Berlin, Germany, originally from the US. My work ranges from music videos to corporate documentaries to short fiction films, although I've always had a passion for free-form documentary film that seeks to raise social awareness. My film credits include post-production editing and office work on the Oscar-nominated film Trouble the Water, Michael Moore's most recent film Capitalism: A Love Story, and the upcoming Morgan Spurlock-produced documentary, Dancing in Jaffa. I have always devoted a significant amount of time to the discoveries of travel, various cultures, and the human spirit, and hope to convey this understanding and emotions in my film work and everyday life. I graduated from Wesleyan with a BA in film in 2010 and now reside in Berlin, Germany, continuing to make creative and fun work.

After traveling the world on a bicycle for almost two years, Heiko Aufdermauer has studied FILM DIRECTION at HFF Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg. In 2008, he was rewarded with a DAAD post-graduate scholarship for Kolkata / India. Apart from a documentary in Eastern Germany (JAPAN IS UNDERNEATH), many times he worked abroad: in India, he shot the shortfilm DIVINE DURGA and in Iran, he did ZAAR – both for arte. His artistic roots are alike in narrative film (e.g. the award winning feature film ZEIT DER FISCHE ) as well as in internationally successful experimental work (Förderpreis dt. Film in Hof, Oberhausen, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Houston). In addition to his work on two new feature films, in recent years, he directed and shot as D.O.P. hundreds of commercials, scenes, music clips and short films as commissioned work. This created a virtuosity in dealing with a wide variety of genres and narrative possibilities within the short form. Beside his work as a freelance director, writer, videographer, D.O.P. and producer, in 2010 he founded SILENTFILM ARTIST COLLECTIVE as a platform for image films, documentary and music videos.

Adriana Berroterán is a cinematographer originally hailing from Venezuela and currently based in Berlin. She began her career in the audiovisual world in 2007 and she’s an active member of The ICF+C, Apertura DOP, Free The Work and Sporas. Since 2021 Adriana is part of the jury board (music video and cinematography categories) of the D&AD Awards, the most prestigious benchmark for creative excellence in design and advertising. Her portfolio combines beautifully crafted shots full of poetry and mystery. She feels a deep attraction for the taboo, the forbidden, the mystical and the human body, which she considers tools of liberation and self-knowledge. Her creative interest lies in intersectionality and challenging the aesthetic parameters imposed by a society that lives in the framework of heteronormativity. Adriana’s experience comes from TV series, short films, commercials, music videos, live music festivals and documentaries in several countries such as Mexico, Germany, Austria, USA and Argentina. Some of her most notable work includes being Camera Operator for TV shows for Netflix and HBO Max, projects developed in Mexico. In 2008 she completed a film production course in Altos de Chavón School of Design in Dominican Republic. From 2009 to 2011, she studied Direction of Photography and colorimetry at the Training Center of the Argentine Film Industry Union CFP SICA. In March 2011 she was selected to participate in the Talent Campus Buenos Aires in collaboration with The Berlin Film Festival - Berlinale Talent Campus. Adriana won the Best Cinematography Award for the Short Film ‘Hysteria’ at Sappho Film Festival UK 2021 and the Best Music Video for ‘3 & Hoy’ at Buenos Aires International Fashion Film Fest 2021. Additionally, some of her projects are official selection of several Film Festivals in the US and across Europe.
