Hello! I am an independent producer, editor, and video journalist living in Berlin, Germany, originally from the US. My work ranges from music videos to corporate documentaries to short fiction films, although I've always had a passion for free-form documentary film that seeks to raise social awareness. My film credits include post-production editing and office work on the Oscar-nominated film Trouble the Water, Michael Moore's most recent film Capitalism: A Love Story, and the upcoming Morgan Spurlock-produced documentary, Dancing in Jaffa. Rick Minnich is an American independent filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany. He holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University and an MFA equivalent in film directing from the Film University Babelsberg "Konrad Wolf” in Germany. Rick Minnich has been writing, directing and producing shorts and feature documentaries since 1993 through his companies Rickfilms and Our Man in Berlin, and in association with various German broadcasters, film funds, and production companies. After traveling the world on a bicycle for almost two years, Heiko Aufdermauer has studied FILM DIRECTION at HFF Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg. In 2008, he was rewarded with a DAAD post-graduate scholarship for Kolkata / India. Apart from a documentary in Eastern Germany (JAPAN IS UNDERNEATH), many times he worked abroad: in India, he shot the shortfilm DIVINE DURGA and in Iran, he did ZAAR – both for arte. His artistic roots are alike in narrative film (e.g. the award winning feature film ZEIT DER FISCHE ) as well as in internationally successful experimental work (Förderpreis dt. Film in Hof, Oberhausen, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Houston). In addition to his work on two new feature films, in recent years, he directed and shot as D.O.P. hundreds of commercials, scenes, music clips and short films as commissioned work. This created a virtuosity in dealing with a wide variety of genres and narrative possibilities within the short form. Beside his work as a freelance director, writer, videographer, D.O.P. and producer, in 2010 he founded SILENTFILM ARTIST COLLECTIVE as a platform for image films, documentary and music videos.

Linda Paganelli is a visual anthropologist and filmmaker. Her primary areas of interest are human rights in war zones, the relationship between power and minorities, refugees and migrants, history of art and contemporary art. Her work is deeply rooted in her anthropological background and seeks to analyse and deconstruct existing ideas around values and stereotypes. After completing with honours her Bachelor Degree in Social Studies at the Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna (Italy) she moved to London where she specialized in Visual Anthropology following a Master Degree at Goldsmiths. She worked, since 2009, as Freelance director mainly on short and long documentaries for TVs, production companies, magazines online, NGOs campaigns, art galleries, universities, and newspaper online. She has worked in conflict zones like Afghanistan and Palestine/Israel and on sensitive issues in Europe (specially United Kingdom and Italy) and Nicaragua where she gained access to dangerous places and ‘hard to reach’ social groups, found incredible stories, and delivered great videos in content and visual. Linda is member and founder of an independent collective of European video makers that aims at portraying segments of the contemporary world with a particular attention to the transformations within societies in the post-capitalistic era.

Adriana Berroterán is a cinematographer originally hailing from Venezuela and currently based in Berlin. She began her career in the audiovisual world in 2007 and she’s an active member of The ICF+C, Apertura DOP, Free The Work and Sporas. Since 2021 Adriana is part of the jury board (music video and cinematography categories) of the D&AD Awards, the most prestigious benchmark for creative excellence in design and advertising. Her portfolio combines beautifully crafted shots full of poetry and mystery. She feels a deep attraction for the taboo, the forbidden, the mystical and the human body, which she considers tools of liberation and self-knowledge. Her creative interest lies in intersectionality and challenging the aesthetic parameters imposed by a society that lives in the framework of heteronormativity. Adriana’s experience comes from TV series, short films, commercials, music videos, live music festivals and documentaries in several countries such as Mexico, Germany, Austria, USA and Argentina. Some of her most notable work includes being Camera Operator for TV shows for Netflix and HBO Max, projects developed in Mexico. In 2008 she completed a film production course in Altos de Chavón School of Design in Dominican Republic. From 2009 to 2011, she studied Direction of Photography and colorimetry at the Training Center of the Argentine Film Industry Union CFP SICA. In March 2011 she was selected to participate in the Talent Campus Buenos Aires in collaboration with The Berlin Film Festival - Berlinale Talent Campus. Adriana won the Best Cinematography Award for the Short Film ‘Hysteria’ at Sappho Film Festival UK 2021 and the Best Music Video for ‘3 & Hoy’ at Buenos Aires International Fashion Film Fest 2021. Additionally, some of her projects are official selection of several Film Festivals in the US and across Europe.

Saad Shahriar is practicing mainstream and alternative platform of journalism as a non-fiction writer (i.e. opinion/column, essay, BBC blog writer), visual journalist (i.e. photo editor, documentary photographer, photo reporter, and multimedia producer), documentary-ethnographic filmmaker (producer/director), Content Producer (social media) and broadcast content developer (produce content, develop communication to support TV production). He began his career by contributing to local daily newspapers of Bangladesh in 2003. Formerly he worked for some national dailies in Bangladesh; also international media like Sipa Press (France), ZeppelinNetwork (France), and CNN International (US). He worked for BBC Media Action, Bangladesh as a content researcher, assistant producer, and social media strategist from 2013-2017. He studied Journalism & Media Studies, and Broadcast & Cross-Media Journalism in Dhaka, Bangladesh; also studied and practiced Contemporary Documentation in Berlin, Germany. Currently, he is exploring Visual Anthropology, Media & Documentary practices at the University of Muenster, Germany. In November 2022, Saad Shahriar founded Unrest Radio — an autonomous space for socio-political documentation of unheard voices, which is a podcast project that focuses on socio-political oppression within German society.

Ben Jones is a documentary filmmaker from Belfast, Northern Ireland now based in Berlin, Germany. Ben has worked as a self producer/director, cameraman and editor in the industry for over ten years. Previous productions include documentary films and work for the BBC, Channel Four, UTV and RTE in the U.K and Ireland.
