A couple of months ago one of Savé Valleys rhino ops teams discovered that Chimoko, a young black rhino bull, was suffering from a nasty leg injury caused by a snare. He was limping and dripping blood but could not be treated without an x-ray, vets and a full support team. That is why we came back and brought an x-ray and a team of experts to the Zimbabwean bush, to save Chimoko. For the first time, thanks to new technology, cameras filmed at night, in colour, which the eye does not see. This allows us to penetrate to the heart of the secret life of the fauna and more especially of the elephant people. Then begins the incredible odyssey of the elephant and his family to survive through the wildest and desolate spaces of southern Africa.
