I have interviewed hundreds of subject matter experts from federal judges to porn stars, both on camera and off. I recently directed and produced films for the permanent online exhibit THE GREAT JAZZ REVIVAL for Stanford University Libraries and the San Francisco Traditional Jazz Society, exec. producer Margaret Moos Pick. My documentary film work frequently screens in museums. I produced ZERO POINT, the first live action VR film, featured at Sundance, New Frontier.

About Marlo M.

Marlo McKenzie is a producer, writer, and storyteller working across documentary film, interactive apps and radio. She's originally from Metro Detroit. Since making San Francisco her home, she’s worked on several compelling media projects. Most recently she collaborated with the Oscar-nominated, Emmy-winning team at Concentric Media to co-produce and edit a documentary about a community of activists, in Pacific Grove, California, who take dramatic action to save their famous Monarch Grove Sanctuary. Prior to that, she worked on a four-part documentary series broadcast on PBS WORLD. Part of her role on the documentary was to produce an iPhone app and walking tour at Devils Tower, which she presented at the 2011 Augmented World Expo, “Using AR to Change the World.”

Chainon is a French and American digital entrepreneur, photographer, writer, journalist and filmmaker. He's worked as a photojournalist and now specializes in virtual reality and 360 video immersive journalism. He has directed and produced a number of 360 news documentaries (including co-productions with Immersiv.ly) in North America, Europe and Latin America. Since 2015, he has been leading training workshops with news organizations on the subject of Virtual Reality, 360 Video and Immersive Journalism. About Emilie S.

I would like to continue to grow, and move forward with my career as a Director. I have been a paid videographer since I was 15 years old, studied cinema at George Mason University, and New York Film Academy, freelanced on major commercial sets with Jonas Akerlund for two years in Los Angeles, CA, and have been with Buzzfeed for what will be the total of 9 mos. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Buzzfeed’s VR and 360 department using the Odyssey camera from Google. VR greatly interests me, and I believe it to be the “final frontier” of cinema. I am an avid traveler, and have been globe trotting since before I could walk. I completed a feature-length documentary, "Sailing On A Shoestring", for my senior thesis in college. The film is about my dad, who built his own boat during the height of the Apartheid in South Africa, and then proceeded to cross the Atlantic three times. The documentary allows him to relive his memories of sailing, and follows him in search of his vessel's fate. More recently, I have completed three short documentaries. Two of which from Film Stuff Productions in Italy and Poland, and the third with Buzzfeed.

Rosie Haber is an aesthetically minded writer and director whose work spans the narrative, doc, and VR spaces. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch and has been a fellow of Film Independent’s Project Involve, Outfest’s Screenwriting lab, and AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women. She won the Audience Award at LA Film Festival and the New Orleans Film Festival, a Webby award, and was nominated for a 2017 GLAAD award for her digital documentary series New Deep South—the third episode of which premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. Haber was a 2017 Sundance New Frontiers Lab fellow and the writer of the upcoming film adaptation of the classic transgender novel Stone Butch Blues and on the GLAAD award winning series, We’ve Been Around. Her next project is called Brujas - a young adult television show with conceptual horror elements. When she's not working on her own projects, she shoots doc and branded content for the likes of Allure, Buzzfeed, and The Atlantic. She loves working internationally (trilingual - Portuguese, Spanish and English) and can both shoot and field produce.

As part of the JYC team, I've assisted in shooting and editing footage in 360-video for a number of our projects, as well as aiding in post-editing for our VR content. I am passionate about new technologies, and how they integrate little by little into our everyday lives. My past experiences in news reporting makes me highly interested in journalism and news around the world. Originally an editor, I am naturally passionate about cinema, but also documentaries.

Before delving into the virtual reality space, Adam won several awards for his screenwriting and directing, including the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, the Script Pipeline Screenwriting Competition and the Vimeo Awards. In October 2015, HD Video Pro wrote an article called A New Medium Emerges about Adam's innovative virtual reality storytelling. His third VR film, Knives, was nominated for a Lumiere Award, a Proto Award and won Best VR Experience at the 2017 Sitges Film Festival. His next VR film, Rose-Colored, premiered at VRLA and won the 2018 Lumiere Award for Best Live Action VR Film. His VR films have screened at the Dubai International Film Festival, the Busan Film Festival, and the Cannes Film Festival. He is currently working with The Canadian Film Center on his sixth VR film, HYPER REAL. Adam is represented by UTA.

Hello! My name is Spencer Burnham, and I am a BAFTA nominated Creative Producer and Director. I have extensive experience in live action, stop motion, and virtual and augmented reality creation. I was the Creative Producer on the BAFTA nominated Augmented Reality storytelling app "A Brief History of Amazing Stunts by Astonishing People." I have produced and creative produced VR and AR projects that have shown at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, and Cannes. I also direct and produce claymation and live action shorts and music videos.
