Vinay D.
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
$600 - $1000
32 reviewsI am a self-shooting producer-director. I have been trained at the BBC in UK in filmmaking and have over eight years of experience working on various productions ranging from print to digital to tv to theatrical with almost all major broadcasters and platforms. While I specialise in cinematic shooting, I am flexible and adaptive to the vision of the platform, brand and producer. Whether it's an artistic shoot or coverage or ASMR or 360degree, I cover them all. I work with minimal crew and mostly with my own equipment unless the production requires very specific equipment. I am always curious to hear of new, unheard stories and discuss unique ways of presenting for one's target audience.

Ghania S.
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
$600 - $2000
2 reviewsI am an Indian filmmaker and cinematographer. My work explores themes of memory, place and identity, with a focus on women and children. Most recently, I worked as a creative producer and editor on 'Tiffin', a short fiction film about the alienation felt by Muslim children in an increasingly right-wing India. I helmed the camera for ‘Hotel Naaz’, a short documentary about a third-generation Muslim Woman, who unwittingly rediscovers her relationship with her grandfather as she traces the history of their family hotel- Naaz Hotel and Purani Dilli. Other works include ‘Cities and Lovers’ and ‘Hum Jinns’, which have been video art projects on exploring the concept of space, love and personal identities in the changing landscape of urban life. I completed my Masters in Mass Communication, from AJK MCRC New Delhi, and have a Bachelors Honour degree in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. Currently, I am pursuing Electronic Cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. Besides Film and Media, I have actively practise theatre and music. And, I enjoy photographing in quaint streets.

Alessandra S.
Puducherry, India
$1 - $365
3 reviewsI was born in in Milan (Italy) and discovered my passion for filmmaking and photography at a very young age, when there were no computers or digital cameras yet. I managed to pay for my university studies by doing video installations for museums, art exhibitions, live concerts and shows and achieved a MA in educational sciences (University of Bologna) and a MA in digital technologies, communication and education (University of Manchester). Thanks to my profession, I traveled all over Europe working with major musicians and dancers from all over the world. After finishing the university I left for a two months trip to Africa but till today, 12 years after, I never left the continent. In 2007 I founded the International organization Cultural Video Foundation, with the aim of using multimedia as a tool to inform, connect, advocate and educate disadvantaged people all over the world. Since then I have been working all over Africa for different UN agencies and International TV stations, finally settling in Dar Es Salaam since January 2015, where I live with my two kids. I define myself as a media activist and "film for change" can easily resume my vision. In this information society knowledge is power, but it is also a precious good and I am dedicating my passion and profession in spreading media and information literacy, as a basic human rights and an invaluable skill for today's and tomorrow's citizens.
