Uganda is hosting more than 1 million South Sudan Refugees many of them facing various problems including access to clean water Rwenzori is second highest point in Africa the glaciers onto of the mountain are melting because of climate change. Our first official short film. What with everything going on right now and it coincidentally being mental health month, we figured we'd tell a fictional story to relate to what some people may be going through right now I was sourced by the leading security service providers in Uganda, Sekanyolya Security Ltd to edit the last commercial they went live with pre-COVID. It showcases their latest range of products for customers featuring Ugandan superstar Sheebah Karungi When the Kenyan government announced a dusk to dawn curfew in March, cases of pregnant women either dying or delivering distressed or stillborn babies started emerging. The crackdown by the police on those who flouted the curfew meant that many women were too afraid to seek medical attention. However, one young doctor decided to fill the gap. Dr Jemimah Kariuki from Kenya's biggest teaching and referral hospital shared a tweet that went viral. She invited any pregnant woman who needed to get to the hospital during curfew hours to reach out to her and she would do her best to facilitate safe deliveries for them. Since sharing her tweet she has helped scores of women from all over Kenya. Produced by: Esther Akello & Anthony Irungu Filmed by: Eric Mwangi A documentary on the success of B Lab East Africa's Impact Assessment tool that measures the social and environmental impact businesses have on the world, as they conduct business. The idea is to have businesses that are good for the world, over and above profitmaking. I Co-Directed and edited this Period Piece TVC dubbed "Always There" for Diageo Ethiopia - META BEER. This documentary focuses on Hima cement’s SOS children’s project. The project was launched in two parishes of Busaiga and Kyakaigo, which are also artisan mining communities in Harugongo SubCounty, Kabarole Dostrict. (where Hima Cement gets Pozzolana, one of the additives for cement production) .The project was implemented to support viable income generating activities and sustainable livelihood initiatives aimed at reducing impact of poverty by strengthening the capacities of the poorest households to have increased income, food security and improved nutrition. The Invisible Labourers of Kampala speaks to the plight of women in the informal sector of Kampala, following the stories of Florence, Gloria and Consolata forging a livelihood as women street vendors in the city, confronted by the city authority's duty to modernize Kampala. Uganda’s labour force participation is among the highest in the world, with 84% of the population being economically active. The scarcity of job opportunities in Uganda has led the emergence of a bulging un-employed or under-employed and under-productive work force of young men and women. Many of them are forced to take up work in the informal sector, in jobs that are precarious and poorly remunerated, with little access to social protection. Despite its precarious nature, informal work represents an important lifeline for many of those who participate. NpM, Platform for Inclusive Finance (NpM), conducted a Diagnostic Study on expanding financial inclusion of refugees with the Ugandan Financial Service Providers Ugafode and RUFI. Many refugees are still excluded from financial services which results in missed opportunities to integrate in new communities, become part of the economic system and build their lives again. This is what this documentary explores.

About Anthony G.
I am an award-winning Kenyan filmmaker based in Kampala, Uganda. 12 years ago, I started my career as a TV producer at a local television station. After experimenting with a variety of genres in my 5-year tenure, I began to develop a fondness for documentaries. After my stint on television, I started working as a freelance producer where I collaborated with other filmmakers as a cinematographer and video editor. Working as a freelancer presented a sense of creative freedom. The red-tapes associated with television studios were eliminated. I had a chance to “do what I wanted”. This freedom allowed me to experiment more as I perfected my craft and delved further into the technicalities of production with the aid of online resources and other filmmakers in the trade. 7 years ago, I co-founded a start-up video production house in Kampala known as Framez and Wavez. My vision is to work with other Ugandan and African filmmakers in creating and curating multimedia content that will help shape Uganda and the East Africa region by telling inspiring stories that steer clear of the “dark-continent” narrative that has become commonplace whenever Africa is under the spotlight. I hope to preserve the African culture, stories, and resilience through these multimedia productions that will be kept for posterity.

About Kuset D.
Film maker and story teller from East Africa, Uganda, primarily based in Masaka. I tell stories of the community and society we live in today. Educational and informative stories, stories that bring us closer to Nature and its conservation. I document people that bring about change in unconventional ways through sports like cycling. The untold stories that are not given a voice in main stream media. Stories that bring about change and bring people together. I believe that our stories can best be told by us the natives of the land because we understand the culture and nuances that define the very fabric that makes up our society. I’m proud to be a story teller because I believe I am the voice to the voiceless, I bring to life stories that would usually go untold and break the silence and document stories that matter. I dream of an Africa that is full of creatives that give rise to change and trigger social responsibility through storytelling.
