I bring three things to the job: Directing, shooting, editing, and producing content for broadcast and web Experience in corporate brand storytelling for companies like Microsoft, Concur and Expedia working with internal and external partners at various levels including C level executives. Proven success of storytelling for Starbucks and BECU working with creative teams at HQ and with partners in the field. This experience has taught me to be flexible on any type of assignment, interact with team members, and deliver quality work. My passion is visual storytelling. No matter how big or small it may be. Whether that means shooting content about coffee, or editing a sizzle reel for Microsoft. Creating compelling stories that impact a business is what I strive to achieve on every project.

Hello I'm Ryan. I'm an experienced Producer, Director and Cinematographer. Video production is my passion. I love my work, I breath production and strive to always deliver a production experience that is enjoyable and of high quality. I have produced and directed many live shows for clients such as Tesla, Facebook and Microsoft. Element 7 Productions LLC is my production company. We produce Documentary's, 360 video, live streams, music video and corporate video. Our client list includes Amazon, Red Bull, Yahoo, Vice and more. I have been in the video industry for over 10 years. During this time I produced hundreds of live streams as a producer for Livestrem.com, I have shot multiple feature films and I enjoy creating personal meaningful relationships with clients. Creating smooth, inclusive and well produced productions is paramount and my primary concern. From pre production to post production I create open, collaborative experiences that build tight teams and memorable successful projects.

I have experience producing documentary films, writing feature articles, and packaging radio & TV pieces. I'm an American based in Bogotá, Colombia, with experience working in English, Spanish and French. In 2015, following dreams of being a full-time storyteller, I moved to India to co-direct a documentary about an orphanage outside the city of Hyderabad. Most recently, I served as the managing editor at Innovations | Stories, an online publication sharing the stories of social innovators all over the Global South. While at Innovations | Stories I designed and spearheaded a multimedia editorial strategy which allowed for more diverse content (a heavier focus on photo and video stories). As managing editor I supported video and photo freelance contributors from all over the world and designed storytelling trainings for social innovators to tell their own stories. I'm originally from Berkeley, California, USA and I earned my B.S. from the University of California, Davis in Community and Regional Development with a minor in Art Studio (focusing on video and photography). From 2010-2015 I directed a global education program called One World Youth Project (OWYP), based in Washington, DC. At OWYP I designed middle school (age 10-14) curriculum and trained university students to teach it around the world in their own communities. The program taught the children cross-cultural communication by empowering them to create and send video, photo, and written messages to their partner classroom abroad - all facilitated by trained university student volunteers. While serving as program director at OWYP I had the privilege of traveling around the world visiting schools and delivering trainings at universities. My work in education and the opportunity to see so much of the world made me realize I wanted to tell stories. Storytelling is the best form of education anyway.
