India’s far-right BJP government has been ruling for the elite for the past six years. The richest 10% now own 77% of the national wealth, while over 130 million Indians still live in extreme poverty, an economic gap that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuing to widen through his neoliberal project. redfish travelled to several key states in India to discover the extent of Modi’s cronyism. Last year, nearly 400 girls and women in India were injured or killed in acid attacks. But one group of survivors is not asking for charity. Instead, they have defied mainstream media accounts portraying them as helpless victims, opening a café just minutes from the Taj Mahal that they use to raise awareness about acid attacks. The women who run the café, called Sheroes’ Hangout, consider themselves feminists and fighters, and apart from serving tea and coffee to tourists, they seek out new survivors to teach them how to heal and reclaim their lives. Sheroes documents the arrival of a new survivor to the café as she struggles to overcome her shame and embrace her inner and outer beauty. The film is about memories - a record of places, people and professions that once gone will never return, and of the mysterious beauty of the man-made ruins that mark the transition from the Calcutta of authentic tradition to the new one of "modernity". It's a very personal story told through the eyes of a photographer. The switch from traditional dug wells to "tube wells"—in which a pipe is drilled into an aquifer — proved fatal in the 1990s, when a high level of arsenic contamination was detected in water from tube wells in Bangladesh and in eastern India. Nowadays, surface ponds provide a safer source of water. Bangladesh’s sociology-cultural environment always stands on gender discrimination, Girls are often considered to be financial burdens on their family and from the time of birth. Empowering women is still a dream from generation to generation. This film is based on a helpless forbidden young lady of 22 years old who has chosen a profession which is only considered for men. So my film will encourage all the distressed women of the world that if you believe yourself then nobody could stop you . Caste discrimination remains one of the most severe and forgotten human rights abuses of the twenty‐first century. It is story of a young girl named Sima Rani, who was born in such a community those who have been neglected and discriminated against by mainstream society due to a stigma “untouchable”. Who has already passed grade 12 and dreams to become a lawyer. It is story of a poor hand-loom worker named Mr.AkbarAli, who works for promoting education in his village fully voluntary measures. In Bangladesh, literacy rate is the lowest among developing countries. As a result, poverty is wide spread. Through continues motivational effort; Mr. Ali has gradually changed the total social scenario. Now people understand there is no alternate to education.
