I have been engaged recently as a Project photographer for CSR of GRSE Ltd, the Kolkata based Defence Shipbuilding PSU with execution of both photography and videography for one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. Started my journey as a freelance photographer, i worked with leading Newspapers, NGOs and Audio -Visual brands of Kolkata (ABP,CINI ,TOI along with visual direction for different Music video and Film ) in different types of projects as the visual glimpses and links are attached herewith. After studying Linguistics and French language from University of Calcutta and Alliance Française. Documenting the intricate use of indigenous technique in the making of wooden bullock cart wheel, my passion to film this about to extinct craft form, has given birth to my first documentary film Probing a circular motion. Since then a couple of documentary films were made on indigenous practices and communities such as mask makers of tribal Chow dance, Gutipua dancers of Orisa, Indigenous practices of midwifery in tribal communities of India. And later a film on junior artists of Bollywood titled Extras, the identity of politics had been made to showcase another Bollywood away from glitz and glamour. Inspired and connected to the communities of our world motivates me to create each audiovisual work in search of a better world. Indigenous craft and artisanal practices,medicinal and health practices, Folklore along with pressing social issues are of utter importance for me.

Subhajit Naskar is a Kolkata-based photojournalist and visual artist. Capturing the melange of emotions through the lens is his forte. The stream of human emotion has always moved him from the inside. He believes visual expressions are much more alluring than any other socio-psyche construct. I am Avijit Ghosh, a 29-year-old, Kolkata, India based independent documentary photographer and videographer. I started my career as a photojournalist with a regional weekly newspaper and later joined SOPA Images as a contributor which distributes my photographs through agencies like Getty Images, AP. I have also independently worked on assignments for national and international media houses and Non profits. Born in the 90s, Completing my degree in computer engineering, I started working in the corporate world. After rat-racing for several years, I decided to start afresh and took photography professionally.
