I am a trained director & self-taught cameraman & editor, with more than two decades of experience in documentaries as well as fiction and a Masters degree in film-making from the prestigious Northern Film School in UK. I specialize in bespoke documentary films. My hour-long documentary "India's Frontier Railways - Maitree Express" not only earned a spectacular viewership on BBC but also got excellent reviews for its sensitive portrayal of the people of India and Bangladesh. I worked for channels like BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic, Channel News Asia etc., before taking up teaching film & television in under-grad and post-grad courses in Kolkata. My short film 'Tell My Story' was one of the four films selected to represent the UK at the 39th Student Oscars and won the prestigious Royal Television Society nomination in the UK.

After studying Linguistics and French language from University of Calcutta and Alliance Française. Documenting the intricate use of indigenous technique in the making of wooden bullock cart wheel, my passion to film this about to extinct craft form, has given birth to my first documentary film Probing a circular motion. Since then a couple of documentary films were made on indigenous practices and communities such as mask makers of tribal Chow dance, Gutipua dancers of Orisa, Indigenous practices of midwifery in tribal communities of India. And later a film on junior artists of Bollywood titled Extras, the identity of politics had been made to showcase another Bollywood away from glitz and glamour. Inspired and connected to the communities of our world motivates me to create each audiovisual work in search of a better world. Indigenous craft and artisanal practices,medicinal and health practices, Folklore along with pressing social issues are of utter importance for me.

Subhajit Naskar is a Kolkata-based photojournalist and visual artist. Capturing the melange of emotions through the lens is his forte. To him, Photography is not just a mere hobby, but a passion for politics, portrayal of human life, and a mirror of emotions. He is interested in serious Photojournalism. He worked for several Photo agencies as a contributor. He worked as a Staff Photographer in a regional Bangla Newspaper, Puber Kalom. Right now, he is working for various news media as a freelance Photographer and visual artist.
