I've covered how Americans living in Mexico viewed the 2016 election, annual bi national summits where borderland politicians and business leaders discuss the future of our region (more important during NAFTA renegotiations), and the Hugs Not Walls events where families saw each other on the riverbed for the first time in years (including the first event under the Trump administration). Outside my regular region I've also covered the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Maria. For the latter I was the only broadcast journalist embedded with the military, publish work for the BBC World Service and Reuters.

I am a independent Journalist based out of New Mexico. I began my career working for a small online publication in Ramallah, Palestine. I remained there for two years freelancing for Al-Jazeera, VICE and VICE News. I then moved to New York to attend the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalist at Columbia University. I am now living and working in NM, writing about the culture and politics of the Southwest.
