Kenneth Painter is a documentarian, video editor, and journalist, who’s work focuses on those trapped within the US criminal justice system. He utilizes video, photographs, and audio interviews to amplify the stories of those marginalized and martyred by the largest prison system in the world. Kenneth’s work began on a local level, with an investigative journalism piece on how the Allegheny County courts system managed their online court watchdog systems during the beginning of Covid-19 and two wrongful conviction cases here in Pennsylvania. He has now moved onto a more national scale story, with his two-year long project involving the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and a full-length documentary, CELLF.
