Highly experienced shooting PD/ video journalist/ producer/ cameraman/ editor, with clients ranging from BBC, ITV, ITN, HBO, Vice News, Channel 4 tv (UK) and the Guardian amongst others. I guess you could call what I do "short docs' rather than news, but I also work on commercial projects. I shoot on Canon C300, C200, Sony Fs7 and have my own Sony Fs5 with Canon L glass, 5D mk III, and full sound kit (Sennheiser lav mics, Rode NT3, Tascam sound recorder. I edit on FCPX and Adobe Premiere and have my own 2017 MBP Adobe Premiere workstation. I work on everything from commercial shoots, to font line conflicts, lighting master interviews, to observational documentary sensitive subjects to difficult access characters. I'm availble as Shooting PD/ Camera Op, Editor, or combination of those - with or without my own kit. I'm based in the north of England but work around the world for all my regular clients (BBC, The Guardian, ITN, Vice).

About Souvid D.

Souvid Datta is an emerging director, screenwriter, and photographer. Spanning both documentary and narrative worlds, his award-winning work explores humanism and systems of power. Born in Mumbai and raised in London, his pursuit of impact storytelling has earned recognitions such as IMDb New Filmmaker of the Year, a Cannes Young Director Award nomination, landed him an Adobe Creative Residency award, a place on the Bafta x BFI Crew list, the Vogue India 20 Under 26 list and Best Documentary at Cannes Short Film Festival. Human stories are the heart of Souvid’s work, investigating issues like social justice, human rights, the environment and culture and taking him to over 60 countries. From the frontlines of the Syrian refugee crisis, to the bustling metropolises of East Africa, in the shadow of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, to environmental hotspots across China and South Asia, Souvid has produced multimedia reports, films and commercials for clients including Google, National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, Universal Music Group, BBC Studios, TIME and The Guardian. As a photographer, he’s shot editorials and reportage features all over the world, from Kenya to Kathmandu, with exhibitions in London’s Saatchi Gallery, the Houses of Parliament, the Indian Alliance Congress, Royal Geographic Society & Bibliotheque National de France. He’s the writer of four short films, and his latest drama, Moonlight Dreams has been selected in several Oscar and Bafta-qualifying festivals, premiering in the UK at Raindance 2020 and launching online on Nowness and Omeleto. Earlier in 2020, he began writing his first narrative series, F*ckbois, a 6 episode 30min comedy-drama exploring masculinity and mental health. In 2021 he began directing a 6-part extended music video series co-commissioned by WeTransfer, The British Museum, The Royal Albert Hall, Arts Council England and the SDA Charity. Souvid’s aim is to continue creating cinematic stories that foster empathy and challenge minds. 

About Matthew S.

Matthew has a background in socially motivated documentary photography. After graduating from Falmouth University with a First Class Honours degree, he continued to experiment with the moving image. Matthew works as a self-shooting PD and camera operator on a wide range of projects, funding personal documentary exploration with commercial jobs. His documentary projects use poetic narratives to navigate untold stories, while working in a collaborative way with subjects. They have led him to Nicaragua, the Balkans, Greece and around the UK, with the outcomes screening on a number of online platforms and at international festivals.
