Produced during an internship with AJ+ The trailer for our first documentary film now screening on Netflix. This is our first short film Seven, produced in-house and supported by Creative England and the British Film Institute. A young girl from an isolated Arctic community must decide the fate of an outsider who has committed a terrible crime. The choice she makes will change her life and determine the future of her community. For decades, the Great Barrier Reef has enjoyed World Heritage Status. It is synonymous with diving, tourism and with Australia. But in June 2014, UNESCO threatened to downgrade the Great Barrier Reef to the World Heritage ‘In Danger’ list due to industrial developments along the coast. This video explores the environmental, economic and social issues surrounding this precious eco system. Spicy rice, fresh mussels, and a squeeze of lemon juice make for Turkey’s tastiest street food – and nowhere does it better than Midyeci Ahmet. I've developed and produced this episode as part of the Hungerlust Season 2 series for Culture Trip, in partnership with Chase United Bank. A craft traditionally reserved for Japanese men, sushi-making is given a bold Mediterranean revamp by an Italian woman. I've developed and produced the episode for the series Hungerlust Season 2, In partnership with Chase United Bank. A film about American rowing team "Fight Oar Die" as they prepare to cross the Atlantic Ocean on a small rowing boat. I was Series and Episode Producer for this branded documentary series for Talisker Whiskey, Diageo London is home to the world's biggest and most diverse dance music scene. Each weekend, it vibrates to the sound of every imaginable style of club music. It's a scene shaped by immigration and the hard knocks of city life, both of which fuelled the incredible feats of creativity that led to jungle, garage, grime, dubstep and UK funky. London is rightly known as a capital of sonic innovation. London may be one of dance music's most important cities, but it's also one of its most troubled. It has reached a defining moment for nightlife culture. From club closures, to widespread police pressure on venues, to the looming threats of gentrification and Brexit, dance music in London has often felt under siege. In Real Scenes: London, we meet the artists, promoters and venue owners who have confronted these challenges head on. It's never been easy here, but an undercurrent of radio, DIY venues, new music and emerging talent still finds a way to survive and thrive—at least for now. "90 minutes of spine-tingling euphoria." I was the director of a 9-camera shoot of Bicep's live show at Printworks. The video was included in the Design Museum's 2020 exhibition, 'Electronic: From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers'. Four years ago, Marea Stamper was ready to give up. Since her early 20s she'd been determined to make it as a DJ and a producer, and after years of doggedly pursuing this goal—teaching herself to play, taking every gig she could get, moving to Chicago from her hometown in Kentucky—she was certain she had failed. Things have changed immeasurably since then. Not long after that hopeless moment, Stamper got a job as the talent buyer at smartbar, Chicago's best underground club. One thing led to another, and before she knew it she was traveling every weekend, playing gigs at many of the best clubs and festivals in the world. This was thanks to her personal resolve and her style as a DJ—party-rocking but smart, often blowing through disco, techno, EBM and '80s pop in a single set. But there was something deeper at play as well, which eventually made her a kind of house music icon. By rising through the ranks as an undiluted version of herself—an outspoken, queer-identifying liberal and feminist with a habit of sweatily rocking out in the booth—she gives the world of dance music a much-needed jolt, and her fans love her for it. As we followed her on a string of gigs across Europe, we found her in the midst of a whirlwind, reeling from her chaotic new life but confidently charging through it, and still pinching herself that it was really happening.
