Fresh fish, dried fish, poultry, vegetables and spices displayed on concrete slabs and wicker baskets at Cox’s Bazaar big market. Clips from assignments across Asia, Africa and the Middle East WFP is using an e-voucher system in Cox’s Bazaar with support from the European Union to provide refugees more choice and autonomy. The e-voucher improves dietary diversity and nutrition. Here is a three-minute documentary I made about the UK's underground wrestling scene. I am a big fan of the Great Big Story series, which in my opinion is a masterclass in short-form documentaries. So I decided I too would make one... and here it is. Many thanks to all the wrestlers who participated in this film, in particular Chris Gladden aka CJ Carter. So let's rumble! This is a video I produced for Wellcome Collection to promote their upcoming exhibition Tabiyat: Medicine and Healing in India. I edited the raw audio from an interview conducted by Wellcome production staff and cut that together with images from the exhibition supplied by Wellcome Collection. Here is a quick, 60-second teaser video I produced for Soluis Visualisation Studios. This gives a snapshot of their exhibition stand at the Digital Construction Week event held at the Business Design Centre in London in October 2015. Check out their cool visualisation technologies for the design and construction industry. Hips don’t lie. But a hip x-ray in the Soviet Union of the 1950s might not have been what it appeared to be. In fact, if it was round, it was likely a record. Let us explain. At a time when the Soviet government strictly forbade western music from the likes of hip shaker Elvis and jazz great Charlie Parker, people found a creative way around the restriction. They turned x-rays of rib cages, fingers and other body parts into records—yes, actual audio recordings—that they exchanged on the sly. Stephen Coates of London’s Bureau of Lost Culture tells us about the ingenious scheme to create and distribute the bootleg audio recordings.

I am a digital film maker, shooting and editing. I worked for the BBC for ten years before leaving to go freelance in 2014. I am particularly interested in historical and cultural factual film-making, but am always up for a new creative challenge. I usually shoot and edit films for digital delivery that are fairly short in length and I am particularly interested in making mini-docs (3-5 mins duration). My current clients are frequently in the broadcast, charity heritage and cultural sectors.
