Souvid Datta is an emerging director, screenwriter, and photographer. Spanning both documentary and narrative worlds, his award-winning work explores humanism and systems of power. Born in Mumbai and raised in London, his pursuit of impact storytelling has earned recognitions such as IMDb New Filmmaker of the Year, a Cannes Young Director Award nomination, landed him an Adobe Creative Residency award, a place on the Bafta x BFI Crew list, the Vogue India 20 Under 26 list and Best Documentary at Cannes Short Film Festival. Human stories are the heart of Souvid’s work, investigating issues like social justice, human rights, the environment and culture and taking him to over 60 countries. From the frontlines of the Syrian refugee crisis, to the bustling metropolises of East Africa, in the shadow of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, to environmental hotspots across China and South Asia, Souvid has produced multimedia reports, films and commercials for clients including Google, National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, Universal Music Group, BBC Studios, TIME and The Guardian. I am a freelance cameraman, journalist, VJ and film maker based in the UK. I have self shot numerous films and reports from across the world, having worked and lived in Kenya and Thailand for many years. I have a wealth of experience producing films on a wide variety of subjects, from the illegal wildlife trade in Myanmar (AJ+) to corruption in the fight against malaria in Papua New Guinea. My films have been broadcast across the world. My recent projects include an episode of Made in Dadaab which will soon be broadcast on Netflix, a series on the dangers of not being vaccinated shot in Sierra Leone and Congo for Not Impossible Labs and PBS, to a film on snow leopards using remote cameras in the mountains of Mongolia for the BBC. I am very comfortable working on my own or part of a team, and I believe my camera work is of a very high standard. From May 2013 to January 2015 I was the South East Asia Video Journalist for Agence France Presse. During this time I travelled extensively to major stories across the world, including the war in Gaza, the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, as well as to the World Cup in Brazil. Before moving to Bangkok I lived and worked as a freelance VJ in East Africa for three years. I covered the biggest news stories across Africa during that time, for a wide variety of clients including AFP, Reuters, Sky News, Channel 4 news, CBC and France 24. I also made documentaries for numerous NGOs, as well as shooting TV commercials for Action Aid in Haiti, Myanmar and Afghanistan. Prior to my move to Africa, I was a producer/director at ITN. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and member of the World Explorer’s Bureau, Sarah Begum is an Immersive Investigative Journalist and an Anthropologist-Explorer. In 2010, Sarah travelled deep into the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest, where she lived with the Huaorani tribe and immersed in their way of life, hunting with warriors, gathering with women whilst investigating into the impacts of oil exploitation on their land. On this expedition, Sarah was made Queen and married to a warrior to create an alliance and send their message about protecting their land through her film. Sarah has survived in some of the most dangerous cities in the world – Caracas, Venezuela, where was presenting international current affairs for an English TV channel and witnessed the unusual situations across the country. Sarah has also investigated the mafia in Sicily, football hooligan gangs in Krakow and continues to seek out authentic stories across the globe through her immersive style.

As a self shooter and/or DoP I'm very experienced in talking head interview setups, especially within the higher education sector, along with shooting coverage in challenging conditions. I have also worked in the past professionally as a lighting assistant, DIT and editor (Premiere Pro). I'm also a social science graduate of University College London: I'm good with languages, (excellent knowledge of Spanish and French) and writing. I consider myself a very resourceful and practical minded worker, and deeply enjoy brainstorming solutions to problems faced on set.

Rob Lewis is a London-based freelance camera operator, videographer and filmmaker based in London, England. Experienced FS7 owner/operator in observational documentary and cinematic style of filmmaking. Self-sufficient shooting Producer Director with own Sony FS7, Sony FS5, C100 mkii, Sony a7sii, with flexible weekday availability and own car. His background in broadcast television includes 6 years of freelancing with Sky and ITV, and currently producing daily shoot-edit packages for BBC London 6.30pm news.
