About Myron P.

Myron Parran is a freelance Director Photography/Producer. Myron began capturing images on film in 1997. He is known for his creative muse and attention to detail. Myron's works have spanned a range of genres, and they include "Sweet Home Alabama," "The "Wire," "Wolverine," "Pirates of the Caribbean," and "The Expendables." To date he has worked on over 50 feature films covering 3D, Animation, Underwater and Aerial Photography. Myron has combined his background in Prosthetics and film by creating innovative camera platforms for stereoscopic films. Those innovations include remote controled stereoscopic, and aquatic devices used on the films Africa 3D, and Enchanted Kingdom 3D. Myron made his Directorial/DP debut on the series "Infamous," where he was credited with bringing a unique combination of strong visuals and seamless direction to the film. He is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild.

I served the U.S. Department of Defense for 5 years engineering, manufacturing and piloting unmanned aircraft. In 2012 I saw the "rise of the drones" and co-founded Drone Tech Aerial. I hold a Private Pilots License, Remote Pilot Part 107 License, SCUBA License, Motorcycle License, Fishing License and well, the license list goes on... Establishing shots, jib shots, crane shots, inside buildings, having pigeons fly our aircraft...We have done from mild to wild that's for sure. Drones are an awesome tool that instantly add production value but customers demanded we have a ground game. We answered with gimbals, motorized sliders, mirrorless cameras, sound, lighting and all the basics for a lightweight production. We have done work for some big names and a few features including Netflix, ABC, NBC, American Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Travel Channel, lululemon, Sony Pictures and other smaller but equally as important customers.

As an Executive Producer, I've created digital content and strategy for hit TV shows, “American Idol”, “The X Factor”, and “So You Think You Can Dance.” For FOX, I co-managed the very first, multi-platform effort to bring “American Idol” to audiences on TV, Hulu, Youtube, and mobile devices, during Season 12 and 13. I produced over 1,500 original videos; exclusives; live-streamed events; and real-time content for FOX TV’s award-winning LIve-sync app. For NBC’s “The Voice” and “America’s Got Talent”, I provided oversight on the Live Sync operational team, during east and west coast broadcasts. For MSN Video, I co-created and executive produced award-winning video series, that resulted in multiple seasons, brand sponsorships, and MSN.com homepage placement. I was one of the founding US producers and VP of Business Development at “VideoJug America”, where I developed licensing partnerships and custom branded programs. I served as chief liaison and global creative partner, servicing VideoJug’s relationship with MSN Video. During my tenure, I also wrote and produced over 2,000 videos; including original content for “MSN’s Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis” event, that took place over seven continents and set a world record for online entertainment, in 2007. I've worked as a camera man on "Deadliest Catch" in Alaska, on independent features in Mexico, and projects in Tanzania, and Kenya. I travel well. As a documentary filmmaker, my most notable projects are “Carpe Kilimanjaro: An Alzheimer’s Story” and “Buckle Brothers: A Documentary on the Soul of a Cowboy.” My work has been seen at AFI, SXSW, SF Documentary Film Festival, ITVFest, and many others around the world. I'm also the co-creator of the MyAlzheimers Story Project, where I wrote and produced over 500 videos. I'm a a survivor of the late 90’s, San Francisco dot-com boom, where I began my career working in the web video and technology start-up trenches. I've worked as a voiceover actor on video games and national commercials. I'm an FAA-certified drone pilot, published writer, and frequent mentor at the Compton High Film Program.

She is constantly drawn to historical narratives, and is set to direct her debut feature Rebel, an action packed film based on the true story of Deborah Sampson, the first female soldier in US history who disguised herself as a man and fought in the Revolutionary war. She is also developing a period era Ellis Island narrative series surrounding stories of immigrant children, a female-driven scripted anthology series that celebrates hidden histories of bold women, and a traveling docuseries focused on international cuisines.

Savannah Bloch is an American/South African filmmaker and graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Her feature film directorial debut, And Then There Was Eve, won a 2017 Jury Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival and opened numerous Women’s Film Festivals across the U.S. As a digital producer/cinematographer, Savannah created 50+ mini-documentaries for Hearst Digital Media and over 300 videos for medical education. Shooting documentary footage of Chinese neocolonialism in Nicaragua, the eviscerating impact of shrapnel on Syrian refugees and rural surgery in remote Bolivia have reshaped her view of the world and unearthed more questions. As a cinematographer, Savannah shot the award-winning feature film, Quality Problems and has worked with brands such as Us Weekly, Popsugar, TLC, and Netflix. Savannah studied stage directing in NYC at The Barrow Group and afterwards honed her skills as an actor’s director in two plays. One is a dark comedy about a dysfunctional family and the second probes the post-9/11 Sikh experience. Currently, Savannah is in post-production on an Irish music documentary. Savannah runs a weekly director’s workshop in Hollywood called The Sandbox and teaches cinematography at USC. Her passions include social innovation, feminism, surfing and veganism.
