RECOGNITIONS: I was recently named among the top multimedia photojournalists in the National Press Photographers Association's international Best of Photojournalism contest for my portfolio of video work (March, 2016). I was also named Ohio Photographer of the Year for my still photography (April, 2016). Since 2013, I've received five Emmys from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Ohio Valley Chapter, which covers four states. Whether it's a daily turn or a months-long project, I'm in constant search for the surprising or underexposed. I get special satisfaction in producing pieces on weighty topics, but also like exploring what makes this world bizarre, comical and beautiful. From Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, immigration in Mexico, to my own Midwestern backyard, with every story I do, I learn a little more about our world.

Sam Mirpoorian is an award-winning filmmaker exploring societal themes at the intersection of time, isolation, health, science, + introspection. During his undergrad + grad studies at Indiana University, he made his first doc-short, Little Warriors, which tells the story about youth activism in the space of climate policy. The film was a Grand Prize Winner at the Academy Award-Qualifying, Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis. In 2018, Sam edited + produced a doc-short, Destination Park, which examines a mobile chapel located in the heart of a desolate truck stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York + made its online premiere via The Atlantic in 2019. In 2020, Sam’s second doc-short, Sonnie, which follows the serene + poignant life of a single father raising his son, played + won awards from over 40 film festivals across the United States + is a recipient of the Kodak Motion Picture Film Bronze Award for Excellence in Filmmaking. Sonnie won three Regional Emmy® Awards and was acquired by NBC, making its broadcast premiere via Peacock in 2021. Judi Ketteler has been writing stories since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Now, she is a collaborator in storytelling. She makes her living strategizing with businesses to figure out how to best tell their story, from websites and videos to speeches and books. Much of her current work involves content strategy and content writing for hospitals and healthcare systems. She's helped more than a dozen hospitals launch new websites, with content strategies built around empathy, clarity, and web writing best practices. Judi got her professional start working at an agency as a copywriter, but has been on her own as a full-time freelance writer since 2002.
