I have experience producing documentary films, writing feature articles, and packaging radio & TV pieces. I'm an American based in Bogotá, Colombia, with experience working in English, Spanish and French. In 2015, following dreams of being a full-time storyteller, I moved to India to co-direct a documentary about an orphanage outside the city of Hyderabad. Most recently, I served as the managing editor at Innovations | Stories, an online publication sharing the stories of social innovators all over the Global South. While at Innovations | Stories I designed and spearheaded a multimedia editorial strategy which allowed for more diverse content (a heavier focus on photo and video stories). As managing editor I supported video and photo freelance contributors from all over the world and designed storytelling trainings for social innovators to tell their own stories. I'm originally from Berkeley, California, USA and I earned my B.S. from the University of California, Davis in Community and Regional Development with a minor in Art Studio (focusing on video and photography). From 2010-2015 I directed a global education program called One World Youth Project (OWYP), based in Washington, DC. At OWYP I designed middle school (age 10-14) curriculum and trained university students to teach it around the world in their own communities. The program taught the children cross-cultural communication by empowering them to create and send video, photo, and written messages to their partner classroom abroad - all facilitated by trained university student volunteers. While serving as program director at OWYP I had the privilege of traveling around the world visiting schools and delivering trainings at universities. My work in education and the opportunity to see so much of the world made me realize I wanted to tell stories. Storytelling is the best form of education anyway.

I'm a freelance cinematographer based in Mérida, Venezuela, who has covered from protests, politics, environmental issues and extreme sports stories. I recently was the main videographer for an Associated Press documentary called Vanishing Venezuela, that details the work of scientists trying to study the country's last glacier. For that video, I filmed ground images in Mérida during massive blackouts, interviews and also their first climbing expedition to the Humboldt glacier at over 14,000 feet. I've also filmed in the Himalayas and recently in Venezuela's largest peak, Pico Bolívar. I'm passionate about filming, climbing, nature and photography, and very versatile when it comes to filming and editing. I have my own equipment, which includes a MavicPro 2 drone and Sony A7 iii camera, with a varied set of lenses.

Since 2014 I have worked as a videographer, photographer and reporter for national media and Hispanic-American digital portals, summing up numerous published works. By 2020 I am about to complete my master’s degree in research in visual anthropology where I have developed debates and works (written, photographic and audiovisual) on photography, cinema, memory, history, cultures, indigenous peoples and Amazonia. In addition to these topics, in my work I have approached the struggle of workers, social movements, human rights and migrations. My work and approach to the field of image and audiovisual, both in form and content, is based on strict humanitarian ethical principles.
