BA in photography from the University of Palermo, Buenos Aires in 2014, BA in film and video production at the Institute of Visual Arts in Quito in 2011 holds a diploma in contemporary photography studies by Node Center, Berlin 2011. Lecturer and researcher of the image. Her work focuses on forms of human self-representation, oral memory and the role that women play in the narration of unofficial history. She has exhibited both individually and collectively in Ecuador and Argentina. She is the winner of the Ecuadorian Photojournalism for Peace Prize and finalist of the Magnum Foundation's Inge Morath Award in 2017. Her project "Stardust" was a finalist in the "New Visions" contest at the Cortona on the Move festival in Italy in 2017 and a photolibro version of the project was finalist in the contest Felifa Futura of Buenos Aires in 2016. Her multimedia works have been selected and projected in Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Italy, Mexico and Spain between 2015 and 2017. Her works have been published by editorials, magazines and newspapers around the world such as RM, Le monde, Vice and Terra Incógnita. As a teacher, she has taught at different institutes and universities in Ecuador for 8 years. She has also been tutor and has given workshops in Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico and Colombia. She is part of the directive of the Association of Ecuadorian Photographers, contributor of the account @everydayecuador and part of Women Photograph.

I have experience producing documentary films, writing feature articles, and packaging radio & TV pieces. I'm an American based in Bogotá, Colombia, with experience working in English, Spanish and French. In 2015, following dreams of being a full-time storyteller, I moved to India to co-direct a documentary about an orphanage outside the city of Hyderabad. Most recently, I served as the managing editor at Innovations | Stories, an online publication sharing the stories of social innovators all over the Global South. While at Innovations | Stories I designed and spearheaded a multimedia editorial strategy which allowed for more diverse content (a heavier focus on photo and video stories). As managing editor I supported video and photo freelance contributors from all over the world and designed storytelling trainings for social innovators to tell their own stories. I'm originally from Berkeley, California, USA and I earned my B.S. from the University of California, Davis in Community and Regional Development with a minor in Art Studio (focusing on video and photography). From 2010-2015 I directed a global education program called One World Youth Project (OWYP), based in Washington, DC. At OWYP I designed middle school (age 10-14) curriculum and trained university students to teach it around the world in their own communities. The program taught the children cross-cultural communication by empowering them to create and send video, photo, and written messages to their partner classroom abroad - all facilitated by trained university student volunteers. While serving as program director at OWYP I had the privilege of traveling around the world visiting schools and delivering trainings at universities. My work in education and the opportunity to see so much of the world made me realize I wanted to tell stories. Storytelling is the best form of education anyway.

Juan Carlos Zapata León, born in Cartagena, Colombia in 1984. He studied Film and Photography at the Unitec University Corporation in Bogota. He entered the world of journalism when he joined Publicaciones Semana (a colombian media company) in 2011, obtaining the position of videographer, which he held until 2014. In June of that year, he traveled to France and lived in that country for the next 10 months, venturing as an event photographer for some concerts and plays. When he returns to Bogotá, he begins to work with the correspondents of the Spanish newspaper El País, making videos for the newspaper's website. Thanks to this work, he travels to different regions of Colombia making audiovisual specials, most related to the peace process and the subsequent signing of the end of the armed conflict. In September 2017, he began working with the French television channel France 24 in Spanish, after opening its headquarters for the Ibero-American public in the Colombian capital. He currently works there making audiovisual pieces of various kinds, in addition to developing independent projects for different companies and NGOs. Since March of this year, when the pandemic caused by covid-19 began, he also linked himself with the French news agency AFP, with whom he has worked reporting all kinds of stories during the quarantine.

Then I dedicated myself more to the production of political and web content. I did a master's degree from 2018 to 2020 in NY. Now I also work with Touche Films, a major production company in the country. Last year I directed a food reality show called "Ahora te toca a ti" and now I am editing the Behind the Scenes (material that I also recorded) for the film Misfit. My undergraduate thesis project was a documentary that is uploaded on my YouTube channel. For many years I did a lot with a small equipment . I think the important thing is the image and the story, not the fancy equipment.But, now I have my own good equipment. I care a lot about image and story, I feel confortable interviewing people .
