Berta Tilmantaite was born and raised in a little town in Lithuania. She has BA in Journalism from Vilnius University (Lithuania), took a course in Photojournalism at Danish School of Media and Journalism, and also got MA in International Multimedia Journalism in Beijing, China. Currently she is working as a freelance multimedia journalist, photographer and videographer and also lectures at Vilnius University, Lithuania. Her projects were published in various media outlets over the world and have won awards in several contests and festivals.

Since I began doing professional work while a student on the Film programme at Middlesex University in London, my filmmaking activities have been divided between commercial work and documentaries. Whether documentary or commercial, I am captivated by the cinematic exploration of people and places. I have worked as a cinematographer, director and self-shooter on a variety of projects, including a Saatchi and Saatchi ad for Pampers which aired on TV and went viral online, and a short documentary on underground farming in London, 33 Below Clapham. To this end I incorporated the production company, Halfway West Films.

I was DOP and filmed documentaries in Lithuania for ARTE, SKY NEWS and EURONEWS, CNA With more than 10 years of experience in the media production industry as a creative and cinematographer, I dedicate myself to delivering the best possible creative solution for a client. My skill set ranges from creative direction to video production and directing. I consider myself to be an all-round professional with leadership skills and experience in both agency and freelance work.
