Mithun Pramanik is a Kolkata-based filmmaker with more than a decade of experience covering regional news and making fiction and documentary films. He has played every role in the production process, including director, director of photography, producer, and editor. While covering news, Mithun often works as a one-man band, shooting, producing, and editing all of his own work. His work has been shown on channels like BBC, Al Jazeera, National Geographic, DW, Zinc, etc. He played a key role as a producer and editor in the film 'Fists of Fury' which won a Gracie award for Al Jazeera America in 2014 and he got the 42nd Annual Tele Award for his short documentary on Indian Acid attack survivor in 2021. I am a documentary film maker and video editor based in India. I have produced features and documentary content for international television channels and production companies, including Euronews Television, McGee Media US (on Storyhunter).
