January 2015 to date - Working as a communication consultant (producing communication strategies, speeches, newsletters, documentaries and online content generation) January 2012 to January 2015 - Worked as a reporter with Kenya Television Network (KTN), a subsidiary of Kenya’s oldest media house, Standard Group. From January to May 2012, I was at the Nairobi Headquarters office before moving to the Kisumu Bureau in June 2012, covering seven counties around the Lake Victoria region. I successfully helped the company establish a television presence and following in Western Kenya and Nyanza. July 2010 to December 2011 - Worked at Strategic Public Relations & Research as a Research Executive, successfully overseeing the creation of Kenya’s first call-center based research hub known as CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews). May 2008 to June 2010 - Worked at East and Central Africa’s leading business newspaper, Business Daily, as a sub-editor. Simultaneously wrote articles and advertisement copy for various publications covering news, entertainment, economics and business. May 2007 to April 2008 - Trained and worked at Nation Media Group as a reporter, writer, sub-editor and Swahili translator in various platforms including newspaper, television and radio.
