Short films such as The Read as a Co-producer. It was a top ten selection for the Machakos Film Festival 2019 (Machawood) and Kaleidoscope as a Production Manager. It was an official selection for the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2017 shortlisted under the Short Film category. It was also nominated for the 2017 Kalasha Film & TV Awards, the Best Short Film category. She is a freelance video journalist producing short-form documentary content. Joan believes in the use of media to tell Africa's transformative stories by showing how we are changing our communities’ narratives and fostering positive social impact.
