Short Feature Giving Nature A Voice (Series Title Sequence and bumpers) Lions of Soysambu Editor/ Colorist (1 x 25 Min) 2016 Making Wildlife Work Editor / Colorist ( 1 X 25min) 2018 Finishing Editor / Colorist This project aims to demonstrate how a creative class can become an agent of social, cultural and economic development and how these spaces are currently challenging the acceptance of established social norms on sexuality, gender, religion, minorities, and race. It consists on the creation of five artistic docu-fictions made in virtual reality (VR) on African urban heroes and the creative spaces that they have started. Each episode will be on a different art collective or individual that is currently contributing to reshaping the city landscape. It’s a virtual tour, a VR experience in the most exciting and interesting urban spaces in Africa (starting the first season in Nairobi). The protagonists of the videos will be the space activators, the African creative class. Le Lac is an immersive VR documentary set in the oasis of the Sahel, Lake Chad. This film is a meditation on the changes that nature is undergoing, with ninety percent of the lake’s water depleted. Depended on by millions, Lake Chad has shrunk to a tenth of her former self. This documentary brings attention to how shifts in nature caused by climate change can lead to political upheaval such as the insurgence of Boko Haram in the central African region. In a journey through change and rupture, as told by the poetic voice of the lake herself, participants explore the lives of Mahamat, a once-wealthy pastoralist, and Nassuri, a fisherman-turned-refugee, as the lake herself hopes for their survival amidst her scattered ponds. An immersive narrative that places viewers into the largest dumpsite in Eastern Africa, told from the perspective of the dumpsite itself. It was part of the My World 360 Project.
