About Faith B.
I currently work in television as a production coordinator, in the documentary department. I've been working in the world of journalism, editing, animation and documentary both in print and film for the past three years after finishing my masters in documentary journalism at NYU J-School. In addition to my "day-job" I'm working on two independent docs. I'm interested in the grey spaces that exist between cultures, and the aspects of humanity that are able to cross the borders of age, race, gender, language, and sexual orientation. I'm interested in global citizenship, international development, representation in media, and exploring the importance of image creation. My projects focus on cultural ownership, changing or losing cultural traditions, and stories that come out of the African Diaspora.

About Renee B.
I'm a documentary filmmaker of over 15 years, that seeks to lend my skills to those that are making change, but who's voices may not be heard. Through my lens, these stories can be shared with the rest of the world and hopefully, access the needed funds, assistance, support, or recognition they need/deserve to make the change that is needed. My projects have taken me from Afghanistan to Haiti to Wall Street to The Rockaways after Hurricane Sandy. In all these stories, there is one common thread and that is hope.....hope for a better world and a belief in humanity, that a better world IS possible. In addition to social justice documentaries, I also like to focus on character driven stories...about unique characters -- that by their personalities, lifestyles, or art, are impacting this world or their community, making it a better, more beautiful and inspiring place.

About Leslie V.
My name is Leslie Von Pless. By day I am the video producer for a national LGBT legal rights organization. I shoot, edit and distribute short documentaries, branded content, campaign, promo, and explainer videos. I also do editorial, event photography, and photo editing. Through Storyhunter, I'm looking to cover stories about the environment, farming, agriculture, and climate change. I live in the Northeast and am particularly looking for stories about environmental issues impacting this region. I'm also interested in profile pieces.

About Ayana E.
I come from the humble midwest, finding myself in the heart of New York. With a dual degree in film and human rights, my career has been a push and pull between hollywood and non-profit organizations. I've worked with a number of film production companies and their big personalities, to local grassroots organizations with more passion than pocket money. As for now, I work as an Associate Producer at a documentary production company based in Brooklyn, while out of the office I spend my time in the hunt for stories. My tastes are simple. Rather than seek the most uniquely curious odd story yet to be publicly known, I ask what questions haven't been asked, and what perspectives haven't been told. I'm fascinated by the lady in my neighborhood who teaches piano to the deaf, while I contemplate the ants running single file up a blank wall. Letting my curiosity lead me, I start with one question and end with a million more.

About Angeline Q.
A California native now living in Brooklyn. With a background in sociology and philosophy, I hunt for stories involving anything that has to do with people and society. I love making the ordinary seem strange. While living in San Francisco I worked for several documentary production companies dedicated to telling the stories of those often marginalized in society. Whether it involved the environment, education, food rights, or marijuana legalization the opportunity to tell one's story kept me passionate and driven. Today I continue to freelance as a videographer editor. Shooting BTS videos, editing short editorial pieces, or producing digital content for websites and magazines.

About Luke D.
Writer, producer, director, DP, editor: I've developed into a jack-of-all-trades filmmaker thanks to wide-ranging academic and work experiences. I've led documentary, indie narrative, music video, and news shoots from guerrilla style to studio setups. What I seek in any project is a story to sink my teeth into and create something compelling by allowing each piece: the visuals, the audio, the script -- to tell its own part, and at the same time, enhance the other aspects of the project.

About Inaya Y.
I am American-Indonesian. I was raised in two fairly different cultures, spending equal amount of time in both Indonesia and United States. I have always been interested in anthropological studies, hence focusing my work to revolve around art, culture, religion and heritage. However, my background in non-profits also stemmed my interest in human rights and social issues as well as education-related stories within underserved communities. Most recently, I have begun to document gender rights in southeast Asia and gained interest in domestic violence that exist within our community. Many of these issues have been fueled by forced or arranged marriage obligated by religion and traditional practices of existing communities. Many are stripped off from their basic human rights due to cultural obligations. At the very core, it is nonetheless an abuse of power and authority against those who are powerless.
