I’m an OJA award nominated filmmaker and multimedia journalist, based in Manhattan. After changing careers from immunology to journalism and filmmaking I have completed a virtual reality film for PBS Frontline, individually created a short documentary set in Ukraine, and animated and edited for the likes of Vice News Tonight. I believe that blurring the edges of your profession in this new world of journalism and filmmaking is the true future of generating and consuming thoughtful and interesting content. This is why I strive to achieve perfection in many innovative and emergent fields of journalism. I also endeavor to perform as a complete package; being proficient in everything from producing and shooting to editing, animation and design is something I take very seriously. I believe that doing so many different things that you no longer know what to call yourself is a good thing. Philip A. Sanchez is a New York-based virtual reality filmmaker and 360° photographer with extensive experience in the entire process -- producing, shooting, stitching and editing -- of immersive storytelling. His previous experience in corporate social responsibility has made him an expert in finding the intersection of business, advocacy and doing good in the community. His personal VR/360° films often explore these topics, including the Standing Rock Sioux’ fight for clean water, immigration's role in food security and the rich culture and traditions of Cuba. As a producer, his projects have garnered honors from The Aperture Foundation and American Photography. He was the first VR/360° artist to be commissioned by The Public Theater (producers of Hamilton and Shakespeare in the Park), he was named a Rauschenberg Fellow at Sundance Institute and he is a Trusted Street View Contributor for Google Maps. Philip is an enrolled tribal member of San Felipe Pueblo in New Mexico. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.

I’m a multimedia journalist born in Cuba, currently based in New York City. I moved to the U.S. in 2016 to pursue a Master's degree in Journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, as part of the inaugural class of the Spanish-Language Concentration. I’ve previously worked as a reporter in Havana, Cuba, and covered several events that shape the new relations between Cuba and the United States. I reported on President Obama’s visit, the reopening of the American embassy in Havana and the Rolling Stones' concert, among other events. While at CUNY, my work is especially focused on minority groups, immigrants, and the role of religion among this diverse Latino communities in New York City. I discovered the story of a Lutheran priest who has adopted 27 minors in an attempt to save them from deportation. I have also travelled to Israel and the West Bank on a reporting trip during June of 2017. In the summer of 2017, I settled in California to intern with Emblematic Group, a Virtual, augmented and mixed Realities production company based in Los Angeles.

She's worked as a photojournalist and now specializes in virtual reality and 360 video immersive journalism. She has directed and produced a number of 360 news documentaries (including co-productions with Immersiv.ly) in North America, Europe and Latin America. Since 2015, She has been leading training workshops with news organizations on the subject of Virtual Reality, 360 Video and Immersive Journalism.

Priscila Guedes is Brazilian cinematographer radicated in France, country where she studied cinema and specialized on high technology of image. She directed the photography of “Un Profil Pour Deux”, by the French director Stéphane Robelin, and “SKOKAN”, by the Czech Petr Vaclav. With a project of technological solution for VR, Guedes participated of the Propellor Kickstart incubator at the International Film Festival, in Rotterdam, was invited to interact with startups in acceleration at the Propellor Speednic, in the European Film Market of Berlin, in Germany. At the Festival de Cannes, in Next (Pavilion of the Marché du Film dedicated to the VR market) the project was presented by Propellor Film Tech Hub as the first of the 10 most promising innovations in business models in the film industry of the future. In Brazil, Guedes founded the FEEL XR Studio, a producer of VR narrative content, with the goal of insert the country in the composition of the new VR grammar that is being written by professionals in the international market.
