Hello there! My name is Spencer Bruttig and I am a Washington, D.C. based film producer, DOP and editor. I came out to DC from the SF Bay Area to help start a new documentary and podcast production company (Tegna and Vault Studios) but most recently joined Google as an in-house creative producer working on their marketing team. Enrique Huaiquil is a Chilean-American award-winning cinematographer, photojournalist, documentary photographer, video editor, and graphic artist based in Northern Virginia. He has covered a wide variety of issues, including the Central American caravans trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, the aftermath of the earthquake in Puerto Rico, white supremacy in America, COVID-19 intensive care units, and immigration detention centers. Enrique has been documenting the immigration crisis in the U.S. In 2021, his focus was primarily on the growing Afghan community in the Washington, DC area as a result of the increased number of asylum seekers and refugees who had to flee Afghanistan with the American withdrawal in 2021. Farhan Alam, has been in the film and television industry for over 16 years. He has worked as a cinematographer, director, and editor on many award-winning programs. Recently his feature film, Sawaan, was Pakistan’s official entry to the 90th Academy Awards in the foreign film category. Sawaan has also won numerous awards in film festivals around the world, including best director and best film and can be currently seen on Netflix. With a strong visual eye and a creative mind, I approach storytelling like a puzzle. How can I bring this to life? How can I take a simple idea and give it a voice and a vision? From Andy Shallal, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, to Maz Jobrani, these are stories unlike others, almost like a candid sit down, allowing the audience to capture the true story behind names and faces. Leading and managing an amazing team of creatives to create moving and compelling stories! While in charge of managing, shooting and producing all newsroom studio shows at USA TODAY, I built successful video platforms with daily franchises for news, money and entertainment. Mostafa Bassim is a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in New York City. His career in photojournalism began during his participation in the January 25th revolution in Egypt, when he co-founded “Sotna” a local newspaper in his hometown and started documenting the atrocities committed by the regime. Mostafa has covered various events ranging from the aftermath of the Egyptian Revolution to economic and societal issues. His projects focus heavily on documenting the daily lives and occurrences of marginalized communities. His work was published locally in various local newspapers and internationally in various publications such as National Geographic, AP, Anadule, EPA, Aljazeera, and AJ+, and was exhibited in various international exhibitions including ICP museum, AFAC 10th Anniversary exhibition in Lebanon, Photo Istanbul exhibition and No pictures please exhibition in Berlin Germany. Jacob Fisk is a shooter and producer with over a decade of experience in non-fiction video production. Though he is based in Washington, DC, his work has taken him all over the world, from Belize to Bahrain.
