I am a professor of Communication and Video Production and I enjoy working on journalism and documentary projects in addition to my teaching career. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in documentary film, as well as having worked as a news videojournalist for a tv news station in Tucson, Az. I have excellent video production and editing skills, and I have storytelling experience in a variety of types and delivery platforms. As you will see in my samples, I am interested in telling stories about social justice and the environment. My previous work has taken me to Haiti, Colombia, Florida, and North Carolina, and I hope to have the opportunity to continue travelling the world to find great stories.

Sarah Batista is an award – winning journalist, speaker, entrepreneur and filmmaker. Before launching Stories to Inspire, Sarah spent a decade as a reporter and anchor in local television news. In 2013, she left WBTV news in Charlotte after seven years to pursue her dream of documentary filmmaking. As an investigative reporter, Sarah covered a wide range of issues and draws upon that experience in her storytelling. Her four part "Beyond the Border" series filmed in Mexico won her the Large Market Feature Award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also contributes reports to the weekly news magazine show ‘Carolina Impact’ on WTVI PBS Charlotte. Sarah is a creative, "outside the box" thinker who is passionate about traveling and experiencing new adventures.

I am the middle of three generations of Hellenic film makers, my father Paris before me and my daughter Gina after me. Whether aerial , aquatic, or terrestrial, rigging to get that shot to tell the story its what we do. It's in our blood. I have two degrees in media production and animation, and have taught audio recording at AIFL, and animation at IADT. Xavier Medina was born June 26, 1986 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and grew up with his big family in Barrio Santa Rosa, Guaynabo. He majored in audio visual communications at the University of Puerto Rico and later completed his Master of Arts in directing for film at the Savannah College of Art and design. In 2012 he won Best Short Film at the Rincon International Film Festival and a year after co- directed and shot an Axe commercial that was awarded with the Silver Lion at Cannes. After his ten-year carrier as artist/filmmaker, Xavi, as his friends call him, moved to Miami, FL, where he continues to create and collaborate in the film industry as writer/director, cinematographer and editor.
