I am a bilingual French English journalist who grew up in the Alps. I studied International Journalism at Cardiff University, where I graduated with a distinction. My main area of interest lies in geopolitics and human rights. I investigated the effects of religious nationalism in Armenia, questioning democratic processes and the roles played by the church in society and politics. I have shot and edited stories on refugees from Calais to Cardiff, but also covered cultural topics from sneaker trends to the art of graffiti. Former BMX-race athlete, I am a sport-addicted which led me to cover women and girls in sport and other punchy stories including on the business of Mixed Martial Arts. By nature, I am curious and adventurous, I like to observe new cultures and to learn from people. Having travelled in many countries, I have a multicultural and open-minded perspective of the world: I understand four languages. For me, journalism is a field of exploration and encounters. I like to listen, to feel, to perceive, to shoot pictures and to transcribe the experience by sharing these impressions through reporting. I am currently working for France24 for the French and the English channels. My reports have been published by InsideOver, Voice Of America, and Worldcrunch. I also used to work for several magazines and newspaper in France including L’Équipe, Courrier International and Le Dauphiné Libéré. I also used to be a reporter for the Paris-based Institute Open Diplomacy. As a young woman, I want to prove to my generation why journalism matters. I am convinced that understanding our environment requires a thorough study of the world. I believe journalism is a means of involvement and engagement. I want to share with society my passion for international news, and to convince others of its importance. Determination, tenacity and optimism drive my everyday life!

I’m a French-Algerian filmmaker focusing on documentaries, ads for social media and motion-design projects. I’m also the co-founder of the french studio Disruptive. For the past 5 years, I have been focusing my work on cinematic corporate films developing multi-skills and managing dozen of video projects from start to finish for brands, companies and charities. I like to tell meaningful, entertaining and engaging stories without boundaries: China, Somalia, Jordan, U.S., Senegal, Cameroon, Algeria… are some of the places I caught on camera for my documentary work. In 2018, I directed #AUTISM a web-campaign documentary shot in Morocco featuring awarded French actor Reda Kateb, about autism in Northern Africa (Morocco) which helped to raise 800.000€+ in less than a month. The film is now close to 1 million views on social medias. At Disruptive, we get involved in many embedded content projects to enhanced social campaigns for our clients. We have a team dedicated to each project that ensures each project is in good hands from start to finish.

JUAN DAVID ROMERO is the director of “Unbroken Paradise” and “An Iraqi Belly Dancer.” The first one has played at festivals such as the 2018 Global Impact Film Festival in Washington D.C.; the 2018 Global Migration Film Festival organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the U.N. Migration Agency; and it will play at the 2019 Amnesty International Human Rights Film Festival in France. The latter has played at the 2018 East End Film Festival in London; Reeling: The 36th Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival; the 7th Diaspora Film Festival in South Korea; and the 10th Kashish Mumbai Queer International Film Festival. Presently Juan David is based in Paris, where he works as a freelance video editor and journalist. Previously he volunteered at refugee camps and with refugee-aid organizations in France and Greece such as FEOX and ActForRef. Before that, he worked in Washington D.C. as communications officer at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Romero received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a minor in Film from the University of Central Florida in 2015. He trained as a multimedia journalist via internships and workshops at newspapers and magazines such as The New Republic, the Orlando Business Journal, Science magazine, the Central Florida Future, and the Scripps Howard Foundation Hispanic Link News Service. He is also an alumni of the NAHJ/Knight Foundation Student Project initiative and the Newseum Institute’s Chips Quinn Scholars Program for Diversity in Journalism.

I am a dynamic and passionate multimedia journalist and filmmaker. Currently a co-producer and cinematographer working on a feature documentary with a Sundance-winning team in the French Pyrenees, I'm also looking to collaborate with different media outlets and corporate clients to bring great stories to life! I'm a self shooting producer used to booking characters, preparing interviews and carrying a successful shoot on deadline pressure. My first short documentary film Holding Fire offers a behind-the-scenes look at the work of a grassroots Muslim activist in South Brooklyn during a time of unprecedented Islamophobia. The film follows the trajectory of rising Yemeni-American activist Somia Elrowmeim, an immigrant woman of color, challenging expectations within her own community to reach higher positions of power. It provides timely insights into activists transitioning to politics, as America is gearing up for the next elections.
