Philip Heijmans is a freelance journalist currently based in Prague writing on national and business issues as well as shooting photographs for several international news outlets, including BBC, The New York Times, Al Jazeera and The Diplomat. His prior work includes roles as business editor for Yangon-based newspaper The Myanmar Times and The Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh, and before that as a photographer and writer for The Prague Post in the Czech Republic.

i am a writer and a drifter dedicating myself to topics on the margins of society. fuelled by my desire to be everywhere at once, i studied geography and cultural anthropology and lived in coro (venezuela), gießen (germany), heidelberg (germany) and adelaide (australia). i settled down in leipzig (germany) in 2007 and studied journalism. the following year i was awarded the “research-prize” by the journalistic magazine “message”. in 2010 i lived in adelaide where i volunteered at radio adelaide. just after christmas i started heading back towards europe but decided that winter doesn’t agree with me. as avoidance strategy i explored the islands in the south pacific with my son. i blogged about it and i turned the stories into a book (“mama, sind wir bald da?”). since october 2011 i am back in leipzig. i write for süddeutsche zeitung, frankfurter allgemeine zeitung, zeit, lufthansa magazin, and plenty of others, mostly about travel, society, women and zeitgeist issues.

I am a photographer, documentary producer, and cinematographer currently based in Athens, Greece. I have studied Cinematography at the School of Visual Arts, New York, and MFA Photography at the University of Hartford, Connecticut. Over the last ten years, I have shot numerous documentary projects, storytelling videos, editorial stories, etc for international media such as VICE, BBC, ARD, The Financial Times, and others. Since 2014 I have also worked as a freelance producer and fixer for international media such as VICE, BBC, ARD, RBB, and SRF. In Greece, I have been working as a producer for several short and feature documentaries for VICE Greece.

About Parinee B.

Parinee Buthrasri is a cinematographer and producer based in Thailand and Czech Republic. She began her career at Electric Eel Films in 2009 as a still photographer for a film Mundane History. Throughout her 8 years of experience in film industry, she has earned a lot of knowledge on independent film production and has expanded her connection throughout SouthEast Asian film industry. In 2018, Buthrasri decided to continue her ambition in visual story telling and pursued her MA in cinematography at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague, Czech Republic. Buthrasri’s works bring to play with the use of 16mm and 35mm negative and natural lighting.  Her most recent works included A Room With A Coconut View (2018), directed by Tulapop Saenjaroen, had its world premiere at 71st Locarno Film Festival and won awards from Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Arkipel Festival Jakarta and Moscow International Experimental Film Festival. With the same collaborator, People on Sunday (2020), premiered at 49th International Film Festival Rotterdam 2020 and won Special Mention Award from Moving Image category, Julius Baer Next Generation Art Prize, Singapore and 24th Thai Short Film and Video Festival. In 2021, Lemongrass Girl (2021), directed by Pom Bunsermvicha, had its world premiere at 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam 2021 - Tiger Short Competition.

Martin Trabalik is a Czech documentarist based in Prague. In his work, he focuses on social and humanitarian issues. In January 2016 he volunteered during the European refugee crisis in Greece becoming interested in photography in the process. Since then he has worked on several projects in Nagorno-Karabakh, Donbash, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and other areas. In the year 2018, he was awarded UNGRC and Czech Press Photo prize in the category Problems of our age for covering the Rohingya's expulsion from Myanmar. In 2021 he directed and produced documentary movie Incendios about forest fires in Bolivia which was awarded Best Documentary Feature at the International Film Festival in La Paz. About Zdenek C.

Documentary-style filmmaker and photographer from Prague. I am focused on docu-style filming, both documentary and corporate. In the past years, I was working with NGOs Adra, People in Need, and Doctors Without Borders on their projects in Ukraine, Cambodia, and Myanmar. I keep coming back to Eastern Ukraine, following the development in the region. The latest project from the area is the website Forgotten war depicting the ongoing war in Donbas. I am based in Prague where I am shooting mostly short commercial videos for digital advertising or working on TV documetaries series for Czech television. In order to be able to travel to high-risk areas, I took a safety course for humanitarian aid workers. I speak Czech, English, Slovak, and Russian.

Hi. My name is Marek and I make videos and photos from a drone. I shoot aerial shots of movies, series, commercials, music videos and corporate videos. I have worked for National Geographic, Netflix, Srilankan airlines and many other productions, companies and non-profit organizations. You can find my footage in Guy Pearce's music videos, in the feature film Women and Life, in the detective series of the Czech television Prima “Polda” or in the German television ZDF digital. I am currently involved in the filming of the travel documentary series "Hearts". I am a licensed drone (UAS) pilot - I hold aviation licenses in categories A1, A2 (Specific) and A3 according to European legislation EASA. This entitles me to process permits for flights in cities.
