Born in Reykjavik, Iceland; Egill Bjarnason first left home at eighteen to be immersed in the Israel-Palestine conflict. The camera has since been his greatest travel companion and a window to the world’s less explored corners. As a Fulbright Foreign Student grantee, he earned a Master’s degree in social documentation at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he also worked as a teaching assistant in photography and statistics for two years.
