For a lot of young and old Swedes, golden 50s and 60s with shiny American hot rods, rock'n'roll and pinup style is the stuff that the dreams are made of. "I am Rockabilly" follows a rockabilly girl Carina and her family on their way to the Power Big Meet to get a glimpse to the Swedish Raggare world. Short documentary by Liisi Mölder. A record number of 542 people applied to volunteer for the 18th Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn and over 250 of them helped to make the festival happen. Once a year takes place Riga Fashion Week. This week long exposition of what is new in Latvian and regional fashion is an opportunity for me to freelance and both video and photograph the events. Usually after I have new contacts and make specific summary projects for specific participants. I have been an independent photography contractor for the company "Speedingfilms" that make video and photographic summaries of large scale public events like our Latvian top summer music festivals such as Positivus. This very popular 3 day festival attracts over 30000 visitors each year, if not more. This short documentary is about 6 unique volunteer librarians that keep one 100 year old little library operational. These 6 women are true guardians of culture and history of the country and provide local communities and passersby with a place of comfort where they can integrate with locals, educate themselves about the country and search for advice. These little towns where these stories take place are not your main destinations in New Zealand, but they showcase that you can find warmth, kindness and support in places least expected. Each of one us human beings is unique in its own way, but to truly understand the reason why you must really dig deep down inside to discover the human trigger that drives these individuals. Throughout research I've discovered an elder amateur astronomer who has his own built observatory and everyday of the week he welcomes visitors to his home to show them stars and teach them a bit about astronomy. Driven purely by passion to share, educate and inspire others he is a man that leaves a prominent mark in this world. This project has been commissioned by 100% Pure New Zealand. This short documentary I've directed tells a story about a horse breeder in Kuwait who is extremely passionate about black Arabian horses. These animals are extremely rare, only 2 % in its breed. But it's not only a search for the colour there is more to it.

While I am young, I have already amassed 10 years of photography experience in Latvia. I have experience not just with weddings and advertising photography, but have also made various individual projects such as calendar photography with travel agencies and interior design houses.
